Hi, 16weeks pregnant. For many days I got pressure in my head. whenever I stand or walk I feel sudden pressure on and off. now today I went to GP he checked and said I got high blood pressure. then he told me to bring a urine sample, he said I got protein in my urine and I got some problem in my bladder. he told us to go to your gynecologist on Monday. are these things happen to anyone? everything was alright? after treatment it resolved?

High blood pressure and protein in the urine
You’ll probably get more support now you’re pregnant from the NCT forum. Plenty of ex-IVFers on there too 🙂 protein in the urine can be due to an infection, high blood pressure, or a number of other things. You’re fairly early for preeclampsia but it’s not unheard of. I can’t tell from your post whether your GP thinks it’s preeclampsia or cystitis causing the protein but you could talk if through with your midwife xx
Speak to your midwife as they routinely check BP and for proteins the urine so they’ll know how to manage/escalate if needed. All the best!
High blood pressure and protein in urine are signs of Pre eclampsia . Speak to your midwife ASAP so they can advise!
Hi Hiramunir. Probably looking out for pre-eclampsia. They will carefully monitor you and treat if needed. Thinking of you. Diane
