Chlomid and Menopur

I am about to touch 42 and my clinic has advised me to try Chlomid with Menopur and then transfer in a frozen cycle. I have high AMH and they can see 12-13 antral follicle count in the monitoring cycle scan.

I have heard Chlomid can be hit and miss. Could you please share your experience as this is my last try with own eggs.

I believe Clomid is for trying naturally, Menopour is for IVF. I would definitely go for the second if you are going for a Frozen cycle.

Hi Bhoga. I am just about to start the exact same protocol. I’m on the OCP till the 12 th and then from the 16 th I start 100mg of clomid and then on the 18 th I start 265 units of menopur.I only take the clomid for 5 days and add in orgalutran to stop ovulation after 7 days of stims.

I’m 41 and done 3 full cycles so far all on much higher doses of meds which didn’t work for me.

My specialist advised that this is a protocol they used in the 80’s.

I’ve seen others on here that have used it and it’s been successful so I hope it is for me.

You have good AMH and AFC so hopefully you have a good result too 💕🍀
