FET booked for next week.

So I had my lining scan today it measured 8.5 ! I want to try and bump it up a bit by next Wednesday... I've heard walnuts are good ! I'm also worried that my transfer will take place 4 days before my natural period is due ?! I'm having a medicated FET progynova and lubion injections. Do these take over my natural cycle ?

Hey ICSIBaby! Our FET cycle was medicated and yes the drugs basically cancel out your own cycle so don't worry about dates etc, they know when to put them back for the best chance 😊 When is your thaw/transfer date? Are you having one or more put back? We only have one frostie left so doing the NK Cells testing at Warwick and the trying with our last one in a couple of months xxx

It's booked for the 21st of June :) I start lubion friday ! We have two Frosties left 5bb and 4bb! But we are just having one transferred I wanted the two but they didn't recommend it ! I'm so nervous... going to book acupuncture for the day before and after... what's the NKcells testing ? I've seen it mentioned before xxx

Sounds like it's all going well! Basically we have what are called natural killer cells in our Uterine lining, some women have higher levels than others which can prevent an embryo implanting properly so can cause implantation failure (BFN on your cycle) or early miscarriages (like me). If you have higher levels they can treat it with steroids xxx

Can anyone get NK cells testing? And I had never heard of being able to do things in improve your lining...

RachG15 yes you can self refer to the clinic at Warwick, it's £540 I think.

ICSIBaby they do image analysis or something... very technical description from me there lol xxx

Ooh right ? How do they find out if you have high NK cells! It's definitely something I'd look into xx

Seems like something you should do as part of IVF or any process up front if could be a big factor! I was also surprised by how far down the line you get before they do the AMH to check egg reserve- I had an operation and then the last stage was this AMH I dunno why the GP don't do it asap would save lots of grief and proceeding if you knew up front your egg reserve and therefore your chances with these interventions earlier on.

My last transfer took place before my period was due. I don't think you get your period until you stop medication, unless of course you get your bfp! Good luck 🍀 X
