Follow up review......... feeling a bit more positive

So I had a follow up review today after getting my disappointing results on the 15th. This time it was with a different consultant, a younger female doctor who i get a great vibe off of, it settled me on the call straight away!

Feeling a bit more positive and certainly don't feel any worse than what i did 10 days a go ( wouldnt be possible). Anatomically I am all good which i guess is one half of the battle . Apparently another thing which is a positive is that i had 7 follicles on my left Ovary and 3 on my right, so 10 in total when i had my scan. She said this is a higher number of follicles that would be expected from someone with an AMH level of 2.8.

Is there anybody who has/had a similar AMH level to me? If so how many follicles did you have on your cycles/ when scanned?

Hi. Glad to hear your consultation helped you to feel more positive. My AMH was 3.5 when tested by my fertility clinic in March 2020. They measured 14 resting follicles at that point which I felt was a good outcome relative to my AMH. 10 follicles sounds good to me and especially as you say if AMH is a bit lower. Fingers crossed for you whatever you decide to do next x

Thank you. Really need to decide between just freezing eggs or getting a sperm donor and freezing embryos instead........... Embryos having a better survival rate through the freezing process is maybe the way forward. So much to think about! x
