IVF Day 11 of stimming with Menopur looking for advice

Hey so I’m on day 11 of stimming and I’m feeling uncomfortable but not in pain in my tummy area think from ovaries and had clear mucus too in my underwear. Has anyone else had symptoms like this??

Hi lovely, as your stimming your ovaries will be growing in size as the follicles do. It's nothing to worry about. It can become really uncomfortable. Do you have a lot of follicles? x

I have 10 follicles in total they were mostly 15 one 17 and the other one 11.5, I feel a little uncomfortable and had clear mucus last two days. I’m there tomorrow for a scan as egg collection is Tuesday x

Then you will definitely be feeling them! Your ovaries will be swollen - but this is a good sign. Good luck for Tuesday x

It'll be fine - out of all the IVF procedures I found it to be the easiest! You just have a lovely sedation and wake up 30 mins later! Mucus is definitely normal as your hormones will be increased from the stims. x

Hi Ema. Hopefully all is going well. Make sure you drink plenty of water in case your ovaries are working extra hard producing follicles. The mucus could just be the action of oestrogen on your cervix and is quite normal. hope all continues as it should. Diane

Thanks Diane I’ve been drinking loads of water I seem to be off pop and juice at minute x

Sounds absolutely normal. I felt uncomfortable as hell by that stage of stims, take it easy mate. I wouldn’t add pop on to an already bloated tummy. Hope it goes well x

I resembled a basketball throughout treatment and a good while after. I was so worried that people would start to assume I was already quite pregnant and say something that would upset me, but lockdown allowed me to hide away for the most part. I felt like I would burst but it never got painful in any other way. Randomly fresh pears seemed to 'deflate' me a little. Just keep an eye on it and speak to your clinic if you're worried. The mucus was normal for me, and nothing compared with the mess of pessaries if you end up on them (they're fine, just a heads-up to not wear your best underwear!)
