4th cycle - looking at EC next week

Had my day 10 stims can today. On my last cycle (my 3rd ), which failed in July, I only had 2 lead follicles and pretty much nothing else, which was a bit step down from my 2nd and best cycle (though none have yielded that elusive BFP yet...). This week's scans are better, touch wood - 7 follicles, ranging from 18 to 13 (with most 13 or 14). The doctor decided to keep me on stims a bit longer (and we'd increased my dose a bit from Wed onwards, from 300 to 375), which meant an extra 390 quid for meriofert today, argh!! But fingers crossed we'll do EC Wednesday. I honestly think this gets harder the more times you do it... the anxiety is so much worse. But for today, I'm just happy things are looking better than last time. Good luck to all in cycles/about to start something/planning their next move xx

Thats great news! Definitely sounds like a good batch of follies and should be chocka block full of them by Weds! Really hope its 4th time lucky for you! xx

That sounds really positive! Excellent news ❤️I know what you mean about the anxiety getting worse. I think the more you experience difficulties, the more you know what could go wrong 😫

That's exactly it... the more tries you have, the more you realise what can go wrong! I'm definitely making a real effort to be calmer this time though 😂 How are you feeling? xx

Fingers crossed to you my dear and hopefully those follicles grow healthy eggs. Just had my EC today, 15 eggs such a big number for us. Last round we had 6 and none made it to day 5 soo keeping positive that maybe this time we're lucky.

I hope I won't get a call. They'll send me an email in 5 or 6 days with how many they'll freeze, I'll be called only if none make it to day 5. Sooo nooo call😱😂🙏🏼🙏🏼 hopefully

Hi! How are you getting on NemoFish? I know your last round was so hard and you had so much to cope with in your personal life too. I hope things are a little easier somehow? (I think I'm just panicking, rather than strong 😂 I feel time ticking away and time isn't on my side, sadly...) xxx

Unfortunately my partner and I have since split since our chemical in July. The situation with his ex and the resentment from me towards his kids and her became too much. I’m pretty much back to square one now x

Ah I saw that earlier in the year but wasn't sure if the split was for good . Hope you're adjusting as well as you can 😘 If it's any consolation , it sounds like you really had no choice 😣 I think you're very brave for making the decision and wish you so much look for your next steps xx

Thank you, I’m trying not to focus too much on it at the moment but I’m also aware I need to make a decision moving forward, either egg freezing or donor sperm. I’m 35 so now isn’t the time to be putting it on the back burner really! X
