Supplements to give up after Bfp

Hi there, after 3 failed transfers I’ve managed to get a bfp when trying naturally, I’ve also had 3 chemical pregnancies. I’m very nervous about stopping the supplements I’ve been taking - l-arginine, inositol,CoQ10 and 75mg aspirin along with pregnacare multi vitamin and extra vit d. Is it safe to just stop taking everything other than vit d and general pregnacare with folic acid or should I continue and gradually cut them out? Any experience welcome :)

Hi Lozz. My feelings would be to just continue with the Pregnacare and extra Vitamin D unless you know you ar depleted in a certain vitamin or mineral. Speak to your GP re the low dose soluble aspirin. Lovely news by the way to start my week with. Hope all continues as it should. Diane

Congratulations! I completely agree with Diane. My fertility clinic told me I could stop the low dose aspirin, but then the next week at my first appointment with the OB they told me to start taking it again. Apparently it can help reduce the risk of preeclampsia if you are a bit older or otherwise at risk. In addition to a prenatal and vitamin D, I also take a calcium supplement because I don’t consume much dairy, but if you get enough from your diet it’s probably not necessary.

Thanks for your reply Kittie, that’s really helpful! I think I’ll continue on with the aspirin because it’s such a small dose and it gives me peace of mind! At least until I can make it to my early scan date.
