8+3 weeks pregnant

I still don’t believe it when I say it! But 8 and a half weeks pregnant, so far everything has been going well as it should! Scan at 7+4 confirmed twins both growing nicely and hearts beating well.

I can feel the worry creeping in, I’ve had nausea for 2 weeks and yesterday couldn’t keep anything down until late afternoon but back to nausea today, ridiculously tired so lots going on but still can’t help worry somethings going to go wrong! I think this journey makes us a little more weary doesn’t it just wondering what hints and tips you ladies have to get through the weeks!

Having some back ache today which I think set me off a little as I’ve not been to bad just cautious until now! I know lots is going on in there moving around and likely the cause of aches and pains!

Wish it’s all the best to everyone x

Aw congrats on getting this far! They say the nausea and stuff is worse with twins!!! Try not to worry, the fact that you are getting symptoms is a really great sign (albeit horrible). Every day that goes by is another day you’re less likely to miscarry, already having seen the heartbeats and everything means all is well.

I don’t really have any tips for managing symptoms, I also suffered a lot from nausea and tiredness and just felt really low from it all but from 12+4 I started feeling normal again. So not long to go. Just take every day as it comes and think how blessed you are :)))

Sounds good so far . I found the nausea and vomiting reassuring 🤣😂 think it’s Ivf normal to fear every step . Try to enjoy the day you’re on and day by day , your hope will grow 😘😘😘💐💐💐💐💐

Hi hun, congrats !! Everything is pretty normal, i am only 6 + and every morning i gag for at least 10 mins and i am out for the count by 7PM every night. It's all normal, so try not to worry too much. Also, milk always cuts through my nausea. When it starts i have a big glass of milk and it helps alot. Hope it all goes well , enjoy the ride. Xx

Hi

Congrats - I just take each week as it comes. Unfortunately the IVF journey takes the excitement out of what should be a joyful time as we just worry

The midwife told me that each day that goes past is one day the risks lessen

I bled the day before my 7 week viability scan and thought it was all over

I’m now 29 weeks feeling a little more calm about things as I feel movement so I know things are okay

I’ve also got the added advantage of having extra scans due to being high risk because of my age and the fact it’s an IVF baby

Hi Mai94,

First of all congratulations on the twins, I am also pregnant with twins 7+4 weeks today I has my scan all is fine 2 heart beat the 2 sac is all fine .

I know this journey is so stressful I still have sometimes some spotting I have had 2 private scan with my doctor and she told not to worry about anything and taken it easy and relax.

I am so exited for us just think positive.

I even had my first midwife appoitment on Wednesday so the journey has begun.

I wish you all the best for the you and the twins.

I am here if you want to chat .

All positive vibes and congratulations again xxx

Thank you for your reply and sorry for my delayed reply ! Congratulations to you too! Yes my midwife appointment made it feel pretty real and then the sickness started and that really made it feel real! I had awful sickness last week so bad they ended up giving me anti-sickness tablets which have helped thankfully!Hope you’re getting on well xx
