Hi Everyone. This rollercoaster of a journey is tough. Am 39 years old. We’ve done 4 months back to back Stims. Our progress to date: 1st - cancelled due to early ovulation. 2nd - few embryos and a failed IUI. 3rd - 1 perfect fresh embryo at blaso that failed after transfer. 4th - 1 perfect & 1 average fresh embryo (2 transferred both at blaso) that have now failed. My goddamn period is here.
I feel like a failure. The small wins are such a high, and the lows are heartbreaking. We desperately want a baby. Why aren’t my embryos implanting?
And when do you ever decide to give up? Money isn’t the issue. It’s just the emotional, daily, sadness. What makes it easier?

I really feel for you.On average it takes three transfers to have a baby (my lucky one was the 3rd transfer after 5 years of trying at 39)
You could try a back to back banking of your embryos as you're 39 and then in a second stage focus on an optimal implantation protocol with perhaps more tests etc?
This way you could also do pgs if money is not an issue and sometimes transfering frozen embryos works better ( it was the case for me with endometriosis)
You need to know whether the issue is implantation or the embryos quality
Yes, the odds are 1 in 3. I got lucky 3rd time and I'm 40. It is hard but keep going. One of them will stick. My two high grade failed and my average implanted.
There's no way of knowing which will work or why it doesn't.
If you're having a what's the point moment then keep going, you may just be having a bad day.
However if you're having more bad days then good, it may be good to talk to someone. I would say take a break but at our ages, taking a break doesn't feel like an option as each day feels like a waste.
I hope you're OK and take some pamper time for you x
