I didn’t ovulate until day 25 after my failed fresh transfer. I was told that it could have even been anovulatory after egg collection month as the ovaries had been so over stimulated. I confirmed my ovulation with temps so it was a long cycle for me.

Finally got my period now and ready to TTC this coming month 🙏🏼🤞🏼

Sorry for your failed cycle xx

I'm in the same boat, I usually get a positive ovulation test around day 10/11 after my period. My withdrawal bleed was 13 days ago and still no sign. I'm due to have estrogen priming a week before my period starts so it's stressing me thinking it's either happened and I missed it or it's not going to happen.

Nurses at clinic don't seem concerned?

I think you might ovulate after your proper period and not your withdrawal bleed? X

Consultant said the bleed 2 days after coming off progesterone was my period so based my treatment date 25 days later which is my usual cycle length.

its different for everyone each time but very normal to be out of sync of your normal period for a month or 2 xx

If you normally ovulate the eventually you should ovulate but it can be a bit delayed - mine have been after early (and one late) losses rather than just straight fresh transfers but even then I think the most it was delayed was a week, most have been pretty much on time, actually more reliable than before I started treatment. But lots of women say their cycle is messed up or a month or two. You could try ovulation test sticks and treat the first day of your withdrawal bleed as day 1, then test from when you would start normally in your cycle. I found the CB ones with flashing smileys the easiest, and completely gave up on BBT and cervical mucus monitoring.

Sorry to jump on but strangely I'm not picking up my surge but cervical mucus and cramps are feeling like it's happened or due soon. I asked the clinic should I get a scan to look for a corpus luteum to see if I have ovulated but they said not to bother. They don't seem concerned about it and want to just stick to the dates. Bloody stressing me out as if it doesn't happen this month then I have to wait until May when I'm back from holiday xx

Don't think I've ever been offered a scan for ovulation, just incidentally on other booked scans I've been told they can see a dominant follicle, or the corpus luteum or fluid etc to indicate I have ovulated. So they can definitely do it. I have no idea if you can get a private scan for this sort of thing - may even be about the same cost as all the CB flashing smiley tests if you're having to buy a lot of them!

My thoughts exactly as the tests are £23 now for 10. Ridiculous. Yeah you can get the scans done privately but the clinic told me not to bother so I guess I just do what I'm told.

Do it every day anyway. Mine doesn’t get picked up by sticks a lot of the time too… but have had day 21 blood tests with the dr who confirmed I was ovulating. I have resorted to dIY IUi to take the stress off.

Random question but how does DIY IUI take the stress off? Does your partner have to perform on the spot anyway for you to get the sample for IUI?

I'm using a donor so I haven't had to think about the pressure on couples to do it at certain times etc.

Just means we don’t have to have sex 🫣

Your choice or his or both?

Both really. He has ED - which unfortunately is slightly taboo between us. I just suggested it and he agreed

I got my smiley face today, CD 16 instead of CD 11 so just a tad late this month xx
