First a chemical and now BFN

Just had our 2nd FET confirmed as a BFN this morning šŸ˜” Do we go with the follow up (even though we have two frozen embryos left so thereā€™s probably not much they can change at this point??) or do we go straight in to another go? Think we are swaying towards going straight in with another transfer once my period comes (after withdrawal bleed) We still have two more rounds left once the two embryos have been transferred so thinking to have the follow up if the next one fails. Any advice appreciated x

Hi Alwaysbelieving. So sorry to hear this, and hope you've got plenty of support just now. Most clinics advise a clear cycle, then perhaps go for the FET the month after that, depending on how you feel. Clinic may suggest trying some low dose souble aspirin and/or heparin next time, if not already done so. Thought to ensure good blood flow to womb and its lining, plus helps t prvent clot formation. Pineapple core apparently has a similar action. Diane

Thanks Diane, really appreciate your advice I will definitely try the pineapple core next time and ask about the meds. When would you recommend to start/have it and how often?

Hi. Every day through two week wait starting three days before embryo transfer or whatever your clinic advises. Diane

Hi!I also had a BFN and a chemical and then i got pregnant (3 frozen embryos,2 were transferred, got pregnant with my son).I don't have any advice to give you as to how long to wait because my last transfer was delayed due to the lockdown (i thought the clinic was closed but they weren't!duh!).But my endometrium was thicker that time,it was 9.34 mm or something whereas the other two times it was 8ish..I had also taken vitamin d and selenium to help me with Hashimoto's.

Thanks for your reply and so happy to hear it all worked out for you on your third attempt. Hopefully itā€™ll be third time lucky for us too xx

I went to the clinic with a weird ''third time is the charm'' attitude.I was sure it was going to work!

So sorry to read this. We have had two rounds of IVF and got lucky with our third transfer and now 16 weeks pregnant. Try not to lose hope and give yourself time to grieve. It is also worth accessing counselling if your clinic has it, or privately. Itā€™s what works for you - some people want to keep going with another cycle ASAP, others want a break to process it all. Have a chat to your clinic and make the best plan for you. Thinking of you during this sad time and best of luck when you try again xx

Thanks so much! Congratulations, lovely to hear you are pregnant and with your third transfer. This gives me hope for our next try. Iā€™ll have a think about the counselling itā€™s something I might do if it doesnā€™t work again next time xx

Sorry to read this. Iā€™m in the same boat as you but the other way round, first BFN and then a chemical. My post treatment consultation is next Thursday and will be asking about whether they would advise I do immune screening (NK testing) and a thrombophilia screen. Iā€™m also worried Iā€™m waiting Frosties if I donā€™t do an ERA but since Iā€™ve had a chemical Iā€™m not sure if itā€™ll be a waste of money. Will let you know what I decide if you would like. Best wishes xx

Thank you and sorry to hear youā€™ve had them too, itā€™s just soul destroying isnā€™t it! Yeah it would be great if you let me know and how the consultation goes if you donā€™t mind. Best of luck with your next attempt šŸ¤žšŸ¼ xx
