Should I accept it’s a failed cycle?

Hi all,

I had an FET on the 5th. (6dt). OTD was on Wednesday for a home test. 3 negative urine home tests since - 3 different types. No period as yet.

Clinic said it’s unlikely that it’s been a successful cycle due to the negative tests and it’s up to me if I want to stop meds or continue until period comes…..

The meds have given me cramps, thrush and sore boobs which I know can also be period and pregnancy symptoms… however the thrush is a new one for me…. Had a previous failed cycle and didn’t get it then. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Just wondering if anyone else is or has been in this situation and what they did, how long their period took to come if it did and what their end result was.

Hi Wizzadora01,

So sorry to hear your cycle hasn’t worked, I know how hard it can be. I’ve never bled on a negative cycle until I stopped taking the medication, at 15 days post transfer the home test would be positive by now if you were pregnant. Normally I start bleeding within 2 days of stopping the meds.

Thank you! That’s what I’m thinking too.

You just hear stories that gives you a glimmer of hope about tests not being reliable etc but I think deep down I know.

Hi Wizzadora. So sorry to hear this and of the discomfort you are suffering too. Could you ask your clinic or GP to do a blood Beta hCG test to confirm your negative result, then you can safely stop all medication and get something to help with the thrush? Thinking of you. Diane.

Hi Diane, I had thought of this and they do offer it but they said they don’t think it’s necessary.

It’s a 6 hour round trip too as I’ve recently relocated so I’m reluctant to do it, especially as all the signs are pointing as a failed cycle.
