Too much fluid on womb lining? Is this common?

Hello, had first baseline scan today, ovaries quiet, but womb lining has too much fluid so I need to wait another week and come back for a second baseline scan.

If fluid is still there they will take the eggs and freeze them, and implant them at a later date once they have resolved what is causing the fluid build up.

Has anyone had this problem before?

Just feeling a bit apprehensive about it...

Hi Pandapants

I’ve had this happen a couple times. Both times it corrected itself and the fluid dried up. Try not to worry.xx

Thanks sazzle, that's a relief. I got a bit freaked out when they started talking about another hysteroscopy. Hopefully all fine next week x

The clinic were all doom and gloom with me too and talked about aspirating the fluid out of the lining before doing a transfer(on the same day)! I was like “this happened before and the fluid disappeared”. I was convinced it would again, they weren’t…turns out I was right. Relax and let your body do it’s thing.x

I had fluid for the first time on my day 10 FET scan. Dr didn't seem too bothered about it, but then he was more worried about an area of lining that was thicker than the rest - he was suggesting cancelling and doing an aqua/3D scan. I decided to go ahead, reduced oestrogen a little and added a lot of progesterone and by transfer day the fluid had gone and the lining was fine. They didn't say what caused it or that it would be a problem, but it may be different if it's there at baseline before stims. This was a just a new fun mini worry for me. I hope it all resolves itself for you. 🍀

I read that vitamin E supplements can help this clear up. It seems to be quite a normal problem - if you can have a normal problem??

Wishing you the best. x

Thank you, I have some Vitamin E in the supplements I'm taking at the moment, so hopefully just needs a little more time to clear up x
