Getting ready for round 2 then bfp???

Its been one of them months with everything happening at once, new job, building works started on my house, rowed with the husband for the stupidest things and panicking to get my ivf meds for round 2 which is to start as soon as af arrives. Had a tiny bit of spotting earlier in the week so started gearing up for the daily injections then nothing... did a test this am and got a faint positive! The last ( and only) time I was pregnant was 3 and a half years ago which ended up as a blighted ovum sadly. After trying once we felt upto it and with covid backing everything up we started our ivf journey in Jan this year and was told we would have about a 5% chance of getting pregnant ...maybe 20% with ivf. We had 2 eggs collected on our first try and both fertilised however didn't make it past day 3 we were then told we should use donor eggs as mine are probably rubbish! I suppose im writing all of this down in the hope that this is our happy ever after. If its not ive got my ivf meds ready to go for our 2nd cycle. Has anyone else got pregnant just as they were gearing up for a round of ivf? I'd love to hear some success stories

Congratulations 💕 not me but my best friend. TTC for 2 years and just about to start injections and got pregnant naturally at 41 now has a beautiful little girl.

Yes, my sister in law had this happen. They got eggs etc and transferred one which failed. As they were about to start another egg collection and had the meds bought already she suspected pregnancy as she missed her period/was late but assumed it was down to all the ivf drugs messing with her cycle.

However, she had fallen pregnant naturally and my nephew is now 2 years old and she’s given birth recently to my niece, also non-ivf. She was 40 and 43 for both births.

This happened to me with my first child - I tested BFN day before period due so went on a bit of a bender to drown my sorrows and was booked into pick my IVF drug’s up on the Monday…..got a hungover BFP Monday morning - my only naturally conceived pregnancy out of 8 that went to full term with a healthy baby x

Oh wow what a surprise then! I'm hoping its right what people say that it'll happen when you take your mind off it, we wait every month for af not to come then preparing for ivf we're willing it to come!!

Yes me! I only had two eggs collected. First round failed, and I fell pregnant naturally just as I was downregging for my second and final round at 41, after years of trying. My lb is now 2. Congratulations!

The nurse at my Fertility clinic said that the IVF medications usually gives the body a kick start.
