Do you have any tips for me for tomorrow? Any foods I should eat or avoid, exercises, traditions, prayers? Anything! 🥰

First IVF: transfer tomorrow! Any tips?
Congrats! If you can take it easy for a few days after, it will help your mental health! Put on some fun movies, put your feet up, and rest if you can. Trust that it's all up to the embryo now and be good to yourself. I avoided bread for a week after transfer and had pineapple smoothies, both times I got my BFPs, but probably just superstition (I might be sensitive to gluten tho due to hashimoto's). Fingers crossed for you xo
Good luck! 😀 My transfer was on Saturday. I went home after and chilled but because I was off my partner and I had a trip out later that day to look at an art gallery. It's my first transfer and I felt a bit tired probably because I was tense before but was ok. Was just nice to be normal rather than think of injections or procedures. I actually felt happy after to enjoy that moment and getting to transfer as I wasn't expecting it!
Just protect your mental health…the 2ww is a killer. Don’t symptom spot and stay away from Google 😉symptoms don’t mean anything and most often than not we make them up to convince ourselves that it has/hasn’t worked…so basically self torture 😂😂😂😂Dont test early, if it’s negative it may be too early and if its positive you’ll get anxiety looking at the ‘line progression’ 😱Other than that, chill, treat yourself and trust your body, it knows what its doing ❤️(Even if we don’t think so)
Good luck hun xxx. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
I’m not usually one for superstitions, but I did get muckies fries after transfer because the salt is supposed to be good! I then completely took it easy, no exercise (as my clinic advised they didn’t want me to do anything that would strain my torso), just gentle daily walks and fresh air. Lots of healthy goodness and nutritious food such as broths with kale and spinach and protein like eggs and chicken. Watch your favourite movies and read your favourite books… anything to protect your mental health as others suggest. This time, I also talked to the bean and imagined them both sticking around (which they did) and it was nice to be in a bubble and pretend for those two weeks that I was already pregnant!
I’m not one to test early, it doesn’t do much for my mental health so if you think it will make you anxious too, don’t do it! Trust in the process.
Wishing you lots of luck and baby dust 💛✨🌈 xx
Try and keep warm and eat healthily. But generally just be kind to yourself.
Keep warm for sure, try to see it as two weeks of putting yourself first. I got addicted to Greys Anatomy during one of mine. If you like to read do that or basically whatever you enjoy and if your mind is running from pitch to pair try to think of happy things. The very best of luck.
Book a few days off and relax with a book/films/naps. And drink loads of water and eat warm foods ( according to my acupuncture lady). Good luck tomorrow x
Hope it went well with the transfer.
I didn't do much and rested but I did the following:
- I went for a walk after I had my transfer and the day after my transfer.
- I had McDonald's fries straight after transfer
- I kept my feet warm
- watched a comedy
- I ate 3 Brazil nuts daily
- I drank a glass of 100% pomegranate juice at room temperature daily
- I had a few pineapples with the core
- drank 1.5 litres of water only at room temperature
- didn't eat any cold fold
- ate lots of warming foods
- had no caffeine/decaf/herbal tea
- had no gluten or dairy
- ate healthy and included lots of good fats like avocado and olive oil and nuts and seeds.
No hot baths. Basically don't let your body over heat. Quick warm/hot showers are fine.
- lots and lots of prayers too
Please don't test early, it's not worth it. Time will fly by.
All the best 😘💐 take it easy, rest, stay positive and do your favourite things for yourself 💐💐💐💐💐
