It’s been a long road since our last (failed) transfer over a year ago. Since then there has been a third egg collection, mock transfer cycle with down reg, horrible endometriosis flare ups and one small operation. But.. it seems tomorrow is the day (I’ll believe it when today’s blood tests come back ok and the embryo thaws!!).
tomorrow I’ll hopefully do acupuncture before and after the transfer, and I’ve had intralipids and a GCSF infusion this week so we are throwing everything at it… but I wondered if anyone had any tips or wee things they felt helped them or that they’ve heard might help? Feeling so nervous and hopeful but also … terrified!

Wishing you all the luck! I am definitely not a medical expert so give it a google yourself but I read about a study in which post transfer those who drank beetroot, watermelon and ginger juice had higher success rates. It was shared by fertility.dietitian.uk on instagram. I have no idea if it made a difference but I felt better in myself knowing I was at least trying and worst case beetroot juice is really good for you x
Hi. I do wish you every success with this. Eat pineapple core to help with circulation and prevent clot formation and plenty of water to drink if prescribed pessarie if prescribed. Go for little walks. Good luck. Diane
Hi PinkCat22 , wishing you all the luck! It sounds like it's been quite the journey for you to get to this stage.
I'm yet to get a BFP but have just had my 2nd transfer 2 days ago. My clinic said to try and relax as best as possible, take it easy with no heavy lifting or hard physical exertion (no running or lifting above 10kg), get good sleep, stay hydrated and eat well. No baths/saunas and nothing you wouldn't do if you wasn't pregnant. They also said to do something that relaxes you every day.
I tried drinking beetroot, watermelon and ginger juice for my 1st transfer and I got a BFN with a top quality 4AA blastocyst. If you enjoy it then it's no harm, but I personally am not doing it for this transfer (it tasted disgusting to me and was making me gag after a few days 🤢).
Just to say Good Luck 🍀 hope everything goes smoothly. I found it good to not book anything on the day, so I had free rein to do as much of as little as I wanted. I went home, sat on the sofa and fell asleep 😂😂
good luck 🤗 my best advice is to not to follow any ‘advice’ except what makes you happy over the next week or so. Eat the cake, go see your friends, go a walk etc whatever makes you feel happiest 💜 that’s what worked for me if it’s gonna stick it’s gonna stick you’ve done all the hard part already 🤞🏽xx
Hi PinkCat22, my advice is to relax, be happy and know you have done everything possible to give yourself the best chance. From today, you might be pregnant! You are in the Hope Zone so have hope and enjoy it as much as you can for as long as you can! My Hope Zone has been going on for 21 weeks now and I tell myself the same thing every week. I heard about beetroot so made myself a healthy beetroot cous cous salad that I love, and also snacked on pineapple. No idea if that made any difference but it was tasty. Best of luck xx
All the best darling. For me I wiuld nit recommend Pineapple core or juice after transfer .I have done 4 IVFs and in all 3 transfers I've drank Pineapple juice and all ended in BFN.my last transfer I avoided Pineapple totally and just drank pomegranate juices all through from prep and after transfer and all through to 12 weeks good luck .
Keep your feet warm - warm feet warm uterus. Drink lots of water - the last place it reaches is your uterus. Keep active - 10 mins wander round the garden every few hours.
No idea if that is what made any difference but I’m now 29 weeks!
Relax and eat the cake! Think positive! Laws of attraction - negative vibes only attract negative back. I watched films with babies in 😂😂 And don’t forget the maccies fries after! That ones probably an old wives tale but a great excuse to get maccies on the way home! GOOD LUCK 🍀
I followed a doctor from Harvard that said that after transfer, for the next 3 days have short walks and go from the bed, to the sofa, to the chair and rotate when feel tired of one or the other. Also your feet warm.
I did that mixing it with logos of Netflix, short walk and nice pineapple juice, tin of water as well…. And finally got my BFP.
I’m currently in the 2ww I have just tried to relax and do what I feel like doing , not stressed too much about what I should /shouldn’t be eating, I’ve been drinking plenty of water, gentle exercise and I have also been having acupuncture for quite a few weeks so 🤞🤞 x
