Hi..I am just about 3 weeks after FET and got positive pregnancy test but have been having bad cramps they are coming and going...could this just be the gel and the meds I am still on? If there was anything bad happening would I bleed or would the meds stop that from happening? Scan is booked for next Thursday but still seems ages away.

Cramps after positive pregnancy test
Hello
I'm afraid to get the final answer you will have to wait until your scan.
In the meantime if the cramps get really bad I would go to a&e or call the clinic.
If you are worried you can call your clinic anyway and have a chat, they know all about you and will be in the best to advise you.
I hope all is good for you and it's only pregnancy symptoms. There are loads of random and unexpected pains during pregnancy .
Thanks for the reply..I rang my clinic and nurse couldn’t advise me so waiting on someone to ring me back..they aren’t bad cramps..they r like mild period pains...have u ever experienced this? I have just done another 2 tests and both still saying pregnant...do u think the drugs would stop me bleeding if something bad was happening?
Are you about 6 weeks along then?
I had “period” cramps prior to my BFP, and have had them occasionally since. It’s a common pregnancy symptom as it can be a symptom of the uterus stretching but it can of course indicate something else but there really isn’t much way of knowing until you have your scan. Could they scan you a little earlier for reassurance?
It’s an anxious time and I’m sure your mind will go to the worst case scenario, that’s natural. But try remain positive. Today you’re pregnant and that’s what’s important 🌈 xx
Hi Vicky. So sorry to hear this. It could be for a number of reasons. The gel can cause constipation, so be wary of this, as when your poo passes around that area it can rub . Keep an eye on your urine output and make sure you continue to drink a lot of water for a while. If your urine is dark, you could be developing a urine infection, so watch for colour and smells. Hope all soo settles down for you. Diane
I had mild cramping on and off probably up until about 12 weeks. You can’t help but be anxious but for me it was just part of my pregnancy, so hopefully that’s all it is for you 🤞 x
Hi Vicky, I had cramping in the first few weeks of pregnancy and it was the absolute worst. In my case it wasn’t mild so I started desperately getting worried. I had good days and awful days. Luckily my Dr said it’s normal I’m now 11wks . She was quite unphased . Plus I was on a high dose of progesterone so it added to the symptoms. It’s good you’re double checking with your clinic though. All the best and it does get better. Xx
Hey. I’ve been having the same, like twinges? I’ve read online it can be the uterus stretching and completely normal. It really worried me at first but I’ve started to get used to them. I have my scan next week too. Fingers crossed for both of us!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Thanks everyone for replies..got speaking to clinic and they advised the meds won’t stop a bleed from coming if the worst was to happen and the cramping without bleeding is more than likely side effects of meds...need to just try and relax..xx
