Hello I am waiting to do my next fet. I’m taking vitamin d, folic acid and magnesium. I’ve heard of people taking probiotics can I ask what this is for and what kind you take?
Thank you

Hiii, probiotics are good for gut health, they provide the good bacteria that keep your body functioning properly. My doctor told me to keep taking my probiotics b4, during and after my transfers, as they do no harm to the body and don't interfere with ivf. There are many types of probiotics, maybe your clinic or healthcare provider can suggest a brand. Mine is Probiolife. Best of luck! ❤
It's better to take methyl folate than folic acid if you can, better quality. I bought the Jarrow brand on Amazon.
Probiotics are suggested in the clinics abroad I've used. A regular one for gut or you can get ones targeted for vaginal too. Can improve the uterine environment and build up good bacteria.
I've used Garden of Life before. They can get pricey but I think it's good to have it.
Also eat fermented foods as that helps.
Hello, I went to see a nutritionist (Melanie Brown’s clinic is one that seems popular - you can find on google) and was prescribed Symprove. It’s expensive but I’m not necessary planning on taking it long term after fertility treatment. Also what Micral says about methyl folate is a good point. But it’s easy to get really confused about it all as clinics can be skeptical about some of the supplements nutritionists suggest (not due to danger, just whether they are necessary). I’m not taking absolutely everything the nutritionist suggested because there were so many things!!!
Hi Boo
I use optibac for women, around 6 months ago I suffered from re-occuring cystitis I saw a specialist and he explained that I needed more good bacteria in my gut and urinary tract. My pharmacist recommended these ones. Since I have used them I have not had thrush or cystitus once. Optibac for woman have a special type of bacteria which reaches the urinary tract and vagina. I pay around 18.99 every 2 weeks.
Really would recommend for womans gynalogical health
