Need help, urgent... In Doctor's clinic now, have to decide fast... My First miscarriage so don't know is it better to wait or D&C?... Dr asking what I want to do.... He wants D&C but I read online most women can miscarry naturally or with misoprostol....? (a) Did anyone experience misoprostol and mifeprostone? At how many weeks? I'm 8.5weeks gestation, embryo measured 6.5wk though 7week scan had showed heartbeat... How Pain?.. (b) Anyone let it miscarry naturally at 8.5week? ... (c) Did D&C and how was it? I read must wait 6 months before next FET if d&c - that's bad. Thanks!

Need Urgent Help π first time miscarriage... Misoprostol?? or wait if??
I had a D&C, I wanted it over with physically so I could deal with it mentally, I was worried as my body hadn't realised something was wrong it would take ages for it to start. In fact I have had a total of 4 D&Cs and they have all been fine, painless and done in 45 mins. I just 'worked from home' and didnt even take any time off. I had to wait 3 months to start IVF again. Good luck xx
Thank you Daisy1245! I decided to do d&c. I hope and pray there'll be no damage to my cervix/uterus from the surgery as i had read some d&c may cause injury.
As I say I have had 4 and most go smoothly. You will be fine. I hardly even bled afterwards and it really helped me as it meant I could at least try and heal mentally and the physical bit was all done. Thinking of you xx
I went for d and c and they give you two miso To take before the surgery to open the cervix and start the process. For me this was the quickest way to sort the physical side . You do what you can manage mentally with. Sending love and hugs for these hard days ππππ
Thanks, Rhinocat! You are very kind. I will ask about two miso before surgery.
Itβs probs part of their procedure anyway. I was told to take them after I had phoned and confirmed my surgery was going ahead . Then I took them one hour before I went in. They started to work quite quickly and I was relieved , it made the surgery less detached if ya get me, hopefully youβll get sorted soon . πππππππ
I am so sorry you have to go through this. I had a mmc last Oct and decided to go for a natural one in the first instance. I gave my body 1 week, which I took off at work, and miscarried within 4 days of stopping all my meds. I was able to do my next cycle in Jan. The main thing is to give yourself time and space to heal. The next few weeks will be hard and I hope you can get support from close family and friends. Sending you hugs xx
Thank you, Fay2399, for sharing β€οΈ. May I know how many weeks' gestational period and, how many weeks old was the embryo at that time?... cos if older, apparently more difficult to do natural miscarriage... Sending you love and hugs Xxo
If you can handle pain go with tablet, d and c could have its own risk , like uterus scratch. Hope you feeling ok π€π€
I'm so sorry you have to go through this. May God give you the grace to scale through and be mentally prepared for thr next one and hopefully you will smile at last. Be kind to yourself. xx
