I've done 2 fresh and 1 frozen transfers. 1 fresh that failed and 1 frozen that also failed. I'm currently doing a new fresh cycle and i'm 7dp5dt. From my experience, frozen transfers are way easier, because your body has the time to recover from the egg retrieval surgery and the effect of all the injections/stims. A fresh transfer puts your body into so much stress because you transfer the embryos 5 days after the surgery and then you start your ivf medication, so you get confused between the retrieval symptoms and the pregnancy symptoms and your body will become more sensitive, whereas, a frozen transfer is more comfortable. But in terms of result, honestly, i can't tell which one is better, as i'm 40 y/o and using my own eggs and still hoping for a positive test 🤞. Some say fresh is better, others say frozen gives better results. It all depends on your situation and what your doctor recommends. In all cases i wish you the best of luck in your journey! ❤🤞

Statistically, success rates are the same. Some doctors actually prefer frozen transfers, as the other poster wrote here because your body has. A chance to recover from the stim hormones and the egg collection.

Personally though, frozen never worked for me - I’ve had three frozen transfers which all failed, and I always struggled to get my endometrium thick enough (it’s always quite thick with the stim hormones) . My one fresh transfer so far worked. I’m currently waiting for egg collection and hoping for another fresh transfer .

BUT - there’s nothing to say that the fact that they were frozen is the reason they failed… it could be due to loads of things, and really statistically they’re the same x

I have this problem too so the stims seems to help fluff out my lining

I’m currently having this little debate in my head about whether to do a freeze all. I’m currently on day 3 of stims. I have done a fresh which failed drastically and I started to bleed 2dp5dt and I’ve had 2 FET one of which ended in a miscarriage and the other just failed.

I spoke with a nurse in my clinic and she said she isn’t supposed to advise as she isn’t a consultant but on the sly she would say a freeze all is best if you can due to the impact stims have on your body like Future1000 has already said.

So I am swaying more towards a freeze all then transferring in September.

Good luck with whatever you choose xxx

Thanks all .. its a hard one for sure ..

My concerns are that with fresh I may have issues with implantation due to immune issues ..however will be going on clexane, aspirin, intralipid or ivig and steroids after ER

Equally am concerned due to my poor collection rates that some may die on freeze or thaw. I have read those with lower collection rates are better with a fresh to save the risk of loosing any.

This is my 4th cycle have done a transfer of 2 blasts previously which resulted in MC due to immunes.

In tmw for ER so will need to decide over the coming days

I've only had fets.My third one resulted in my son.I don't think i could have handled so much medication in one sitting, that's why i chose frozen embryo transfers.

I've done 1 fresh and 2 frozen transfers. Frozen is much easier and quicker than fresh. I had the fresh one and 1 frozen failed, but now with the 2nd frozen embryo I'm pregnant on 7 weeks.

For me definitely frozen! I’ve had 4 failed fresh transfers and from the 3 frozens I’ve had my son, an early miscarriage and I’m 30 weeks pregnant with a daughter! I think due to the high dosage of medication I was on due to allow amh my body was always fat too stressed for a fresh transfer to work xx

I have done 1 frozen embryo and 2 natural one due to the regular menstrual cycle. After frozen cycle I have a 2 year old son. Natural one- first failed, second successful- now I am 3 months pregnant.

Personally I would recommend a natural one as you don’t need to take any medication. If you have regular period I would definitely recommend it. Good luck to you. :)

For me, fresh worked better. Had BFP twice with our 2 fresh cycles (one ended in a miscarriage) and a BFN with our only frozen cycle. Good luck with your treatment x
