Starting Medication on Sunday - Any Tips or Advice?

Hi Everyone. So i've been told to start Suprecur nasal spray on Sunday, and even though this has been a long time coming, I feel slightly unprepared and anxious.

I had my AMH tested about a month ago, and they said that we would get an appointment through to discuss results and treatment. All that's happened is that I got a letter saying that my AMH was within the normal range, and we should start treatment from my June period. They included a leaflet giving a brief overview of what happens, and a pack of nasal sprays to start taking 3 weeks after my period started.

I've done a lot of my own research about the IVF (with ICSI) process so I know what happens, but I feel like they've just posted me a batch of drugs to start taking without any real advice or explanation!

I guess I'm just a bit scared about side effects (especially after reading the leaflet!), and the fact that it's all becoming very real now after waiting so long.

x

It’s all a

Bit scary and vague when things finally start. Just get a calendar , copy in your drug stuff and crack on. You can do this! I’ve been on down reg nasal sprays since June , covid test this morning then injections start for stims on Friday. I’ve cried twice over nothing, only, it’s not over nothing. Let the emotions out when they come so that the strong ones pass, the re group and keep going! You’ve got this πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»

Thanks RhinoCat. Good advice! I'm trying to just go with the flow, but I'm used to being the one in control, the problem solver, the strong one. But I guess I'll just have to trust the professionals on this one. Wishing you lots of luck on your journey! Sounds like we're roughly at the same stage 😘πŸ₯°β€οΈ
