Can anyone tell me when you would do a progesterone blood test check again after having a frozen embryo transfer. The first check being before embryo transfer and what should the progesterone levels be. Also does anyone know where I can get a same day blood test result for this in Glasgow. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

My clinic doesn't do any tests after ET... that's pretty much it 😂 I really worry my progesterone isn't high enough in the TWW though so tempted to try to find a private testing centre too. Wishing you luck x
I always bleed early so ‘demanded’ a check on et day and then 4/5 days after. My clinic want over 80 on transfer day and the same or more when checked again.
HiThanks for replying. I might not be able to get the progesterone checked before transfer day as I don't think any clinic offers same day result as my clinic won't do it. I should get the result 4-5 days after transfer so would need to adjust the dose accordingly at that point if it needs adjusting. X
Same with me during my first donor cycle! I changed clinics because I need to go where the donor eggs/embryos are (I don't have my own eggs due to a genetic condition), and my new FS said it was essential to test progesterone because everyone absorbs it differently. They will be testing it during a mock cycle I am doing for an ERA on the 'would be' day of transfer, then 5 days after 'would be transfer day'. I will finally get a good idea if the utrogestan is working for me. I'm so glad I changed clinics!
Hi thanks for replying. I wish all clinics would offer the progesterone test as standard. I've left a voice message for my clinic saying I need progesterone checked and I can pay for it as I know its not part of the protocol/treatment. They do same day result. I will see what they say, otherwise I'm going to have to book a blood test elsewhere and will get the result after 4 days. Feel like it's such a battle.
It really is. With my first clinic, it was such a battle. I really had to advocate for myself and demand things. I had to do all of my own research and I am so glad I did. I felt like I was just a number and a cashcow at this first clinic.
My hosptial has also said my lining thickness wont be checked again on transfer day. Really concerns me. We do all we can to get things to turn out right and they do the bare minimum when it comes to testing. God forbid if a cycle does not work, they would not have the answers or info as to why or what could be done differently. Fertility treatments should be tailored to each person and not a one size fits all approach.
Hi yes with lining it would still continue to thicken until day of transfer. My clinic doesn't check it again either on day of transfer. Its so annoying. Wish they would just check the basics.
Some clinics say 35 or over is fine for progesterone. Other clinics say 50 and over for transfer day. Most clinics don't check this before transfer. I've just found this out from doing own research.
