Egg freezing pre-paid packages

Hello. I don't think there are many egg freezing patients on here but I'm writing in the hope that someone shares a similar experience

At my first egg freezing consultation, I made it clear that I was aiming for a target of 30 eggs to have a good chance of getting success from egg freezing.

It was agreed that this was feasible in 2 cycles due to my 'excellent' amh and base follicles. So I prepaid for 2 cycles. Now I've had both cycles, I've only managed 22 mature eggs which gives me a significantly lower probability than I was seeking.

Whilst I appreciate that the advice was never a guarantee, I am of course very disappointed and looking in to the option of having a 3rd cycle.

I asked the clinic if I could upgrade my package to include the 3 egg freezing cycles but I was told from the finance team that this was not an option. This means, I will need to pay an additional 3 grand instead of 600.

Has anyone else managed to upgrade the pre-paid egg freezing cycles?

I am of course, kicking myself for not buying 3 in the first place. Even if I had a good chance with 2, I still should have brought 3.

I’ve not had a package sorry but I’m curious as to who you’ve gone to and the price, as I feel like I’m paying through the nose for an absolutely shocking service.

I would’ve thought 22 was a decent number but I appreciate you hoped for more. My first round i got 2 😩

I guess it depends on your age too. I used this egg freezing calculator to understand what probabilities I would be comfortable with. springfertility.com/eggcalc/

I do appreciate that I'm fortunate in many ways. I just have to learn to manage my expecations.

Have you had further cycles since your first round with 2 eggs?
