ERA Timings.

Hi all, looking for some advice please.

I have recently had an ERA test and it shown that I need 5 and a half days of progresterone(132 hours)

My clinic have said to start taking progresterone tomorrow at 12 midday and they have scheduled my embryo transfer for Friday at 12.30. I have worked out the timings and that's 144 and a half hours.

It doesn't seem right. Should my embryo transfer be timed for 132 hours not 144 hours

Anyone else who has had to change the timing of your transfers. Have you had the transfer on the exact time they said you were most receptive?

X

Hi Hope, from my understanding the transfer time should be within 3 hours of the recommended time by ERA. I would bring it up to the clinic and ask to change your time. Good luck xx

Hi Hope_1234,

I had to query the timings for my ET with my clinic as it didn't fit in with the ERA results. Tbh they were relieved when I did, as I think they wanted to be sure that there counting was correct (it wasn't, but everything was resolved easily). I was then much more confident going in for my ET knowing the timings were correct. There is a +/-3hours on my timings, don't know if it's the same for you. But if you are at all worried that it may bot be right, give your clinic a call and talk it through with them. Good luck with your ET.

Did your clinic say it was 132 hours specifically or did they say 5.5 days? Because I had a similar thing as they said it was 6.5 days and I was STRESSING out as I’d worked out the hours as much longer, but my results said 137 hours. But the clinic didn’t specify that so I just added up the 24 hour periods….. if that makes sense?? Xx

They didn't actually give the hours they said they didn't work it out that way. They said it is 5 and a half days before my transfer (but that doesn't include transfer day)So I'm having 132hours up until midnight before transfer day.

They said they didn't count the extra 12 hours on transfer day. It seems confusing but I'm just going to trust them and go with it 🤞x

What was the result of your ERA? It should tell you how many hours of progesterone you need before transfer x

Hey lovely. Could you request your ERA report? On the report it says how many hours of progresterone you need. You will need your transfer (+/-3 hours) based on the Era timings.

Example if your ERA says you need 136 hours of progesterone. You will need 136 hours of progesterone before you have your embryo transfer.

You definitely can't choose the day as your transfer needs to be at a specific time x

Hi all, I requested my Era report as the timings didn't seem correct at all. Well it was what I thought 😭 My ERA test shown that I need 133+-3 hours.

My clinic started me on progesterone Saturday mid day @ 12 and booked my transfer for Friday at 12.30, which is 144 hours. How can they get the timings so bloody wrong. I'm furious

What would you all do?

Does the ERA have to be within the 3 hour time frame they listed?

I'm so gutted, the only way they can make this work is if they do my transfer at like 4.30am on the Friday which I bet they won't do. My next bleed will then be withdrawal so I won't be able to have a transfer now I bet until August time

I'm so fed up 🥺😭 why cant the professionals get things right. I don't stab myself with injections multiple times a day for the fun of it 😭😭

Hey, just to say....you can start again in a withdrawal bleed so if you do have to cancel that you dont have yo wait for a real period!! Massive hugs xxx

Ah great I was wondering about that as well. I’ll make sure they let us do that if we do have to cancel. I want them to reimburse the cost of my meds too! See what they say in the morning. 🥰 xx

Hiya. I would push for them to do the transfer at the correct ERA time. The transfer has to be done within the 3 hour window as that is when you are receptive (and the whole point of the test). It's their c*ck up so why should you have to cancel after all the meds etc?! Also this is a massive oversight of the nurse who worked your timings out so I would put in a complaint (for what it's worth)!! Good luck! Xx

I'm going to cancel the transfer for Friday as I know they won't go in at 4am Friday to do my transfer (I will ask but I know they wont)

I'm honestly furious. It's like they don't care and just winging it. Even if they say tomorrow when they call its fine to transfer. I know it isn't and when I have the transfer next time, I'm working out the timings myself. My clinic are absolutely useless. I'm gutted.

I've waited so long for this and its a joke I'm fed up 🥺😭

You put your life on hold, been having to do multiple injections. I feel bloated and awful for nothing x

I remember panicking myself about this ERA test. My results came back 5.5 days receptive with not a specific hour. When I did the mock cycle I started progesteron at 10 o'clock (Spain time) in the evening and my biopsy was done at 2:45, five days later. When I had my proper transfer done I started progesteron at 10 in the evening and like a stupid one I forgot that 10:00pm in Spain is 9 here 😤 and transfer was if I remember well around 11- 11:30. I thought that are too many hours gap. I wanted to ask them about this but again I forgot. I went for transfer and been successful, we are pregnant. Don't go into panic mode, we have similar hours +/- , speak with them tomorrow for your reassurance but I don't think is a problem. You had the same hours for ERA test? They should be similar if you are receptive. XX
