Light brown discharge after exercise

Hi ladies, I'm 6 weeks tomorrow after a FET and I've been getting a small amount of light brown discharge every day for the past week. It only seems to happen when I go for a walk (gentle stroll really), and then no more for the rest of the day, but it seems to be getting a bit heavier each day. Has anyone had anything similar? I had a missed miscarriage earlier this year and am really panicking. I have my viability scan next Tuesday, but wondering if I should contact my EPU? Thanks

Brown discharge/blood is old blood, are you using cyclogest or any other pessaries vaginally?! If so it could be irritating your cervix

I always used them rectally so didn’t have an issue

Thanks Running, but I've been using them rectally too, so that can't be it. I'm trying to take some comfort from the fact it's only a tiny bit and it's brown / old, but my mind is running away with me...

Don’t panic!!!

As I say it’s old blood, the day before my 7 week scan I had brown discharge, bright red blood, dark blood and brown discharge again in the space of about 10 minutes

My scan was all good but they found a subchorionic hematoma which is quite common, so could be something similar

Not long to wait for your scan

Thank you - that's reassuring to hear. I'll try and keep calm 😊

I also had brown discharge twice. First time was the night before I tested and I put was positive and 2 nights before my 6 week scan. First time it was a lighter colour and it a lot. Second time it looked darker but again not a lot. Both times lasted a few days. I did ring up and the nurses really were not concerned and said it was implantation. My scan showed I had fluid I can’t remember where but baby was there and doing well and was protected. All the best for your scan xxx

I am nearly 8 weeks and I had have had some brown discharge-mixed in with my pessary residue. Scan all ok today. Nurse said it may be from the pessaries irritating my cervix. Try not to worry xxx

Thanks, I'm not using pessaries, so it must be something else, but will try to stay calm xx

I'm currently leaking brown blood. Started day before yesterday and it goes away, comes back. I had my 10 week scan and baby is doing good! Heartbeat is strong and my FS wasn't particularly worried as it is "old blood". I'm to just take it really really easy for a few days. I also only went to the supermarket and picked up dinner when I noticed the discharge afterwards. So I was being pretty gentle...but now I'm not even doing that for a few days.

I’m a few weeks and in my previous pregnancy I did actively bleed for the first few months. Brown blood is old blood so I wouldn’t worry (I know easier said than done). You will be having you viability scan next week so just try to hang in there. And of course call EPU if you want for reassurance but I think you should be okay xx

I had light brown spotting from about 6 weeks all the way to almost 12 weeks after my fresh transfer 3.5 years ago, and I used cyclogest rectally. It stopped as soon as I stopped the cyclogest. A few panicked trips to the EPU but all was always fine and my little boy is 3 in two weeks 🙂

Yes I had this few weeks ago I went got checked out but it’s old blood they said I even had some red blood too but it can be from the pessaries I stopped using them that way and use them rectum only now abs it’s stopped. Apparently there so much blood flow to your sensitive flower it can course a bleed.

Also they said it could of been from the transfer too.

It’s horrible when you see it I really really panicked mine lasted nearly 2 weeks but don’t worry it’s old blood xxx
