Storing IVF drugs

Hi All, can someone put my mind at rest please! On previous 2 cycles I was told Menopur should be stored at room temp. I’ve just read that it should be refrigerated!

That means I’ve wasted 2 cycles due to poor response. This has really stressed me!

Does it say to refrigerate in the medication insert? That is the only set of instructions that matters xx

It's absolutely fine to keep in the cupboard. Once it's mixed it has a shelf life of 28 days (I think).... I've used it twice and both times had a good response so you've done nothing wrong xx

5. How to store MENOPUR

• Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

• Do not use MENOPUR after the expiry date which is stated

on the packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of that

month.

• For immediate and single use following reconstitution.

• Do not store above 25°C. Do not freeze.

• Store in the original package in order to protect from light.

I'm so sorry to hear this, I wish I knew more about it and could be helpful. I was told to store my Menopur in the fridge, although I think some people have been told it's ok to keep it out of the fridge after it's been mixed.

I was told definitely do not store Menopur in the fridge... and had a better response with it than any drugs I’d tried before...

Definitely room temp once mixed, I had menopur 1200. The pharmacist even told me room temp when I collected it

I am using menopur now. Was told to refrigerate unmixed and store at room temp when mixed - I can’t imagine a cold shot is much fun...

We were told to store Menopur outside, room temp, so it was always sat on our table. We mixed the vials and then injected straightaway

I think it depends on the type of menopur. The smaller vials you keep at room temperature and only mix when you need them. I think there are big big vials which you keep in the fridge but not sure they are available in the UK? anyway I've had 6 rounds and always kept them at room temp x
