First period after a failed IVF

Hey, I had a neg test on the 29th April, 12 days after a 5 day transfer. I got AF that evening. I have been spotting for the last 3 days and never normally spot mid cycle, has anyone else experienced this? X

I’ve had funny things happen to my cycles after a round. Heavier on day 1 and another round my cycles dropped from 5 days to 3 days.

It could be that your body didn’t fully have a clear out. If your concerned you could contact your hospital nurses their always really helpful

Thanks xx We out our bodies through a lot so it’s probably just readjusting after all the meds. I called them and they said it’s not common to bleed mid cycle, it may even be the start of my next period early (9 days!!) Hope you’re doing ok? Tough time to get through x

Thank, I’m not too bad.

I’ve have bled mid cycle before. But I do have a history of polys - not suggesting you have any.

As the hospital weren’t much help, if it continues you could also speak to your GP

Hi there. I experienced mid cycle spotting after my most recent unsuccessful IVF. I contacted my clinic who said it is most likely the hormones from all the drugs. I did go on to then have another weird cycle again next time though so will be having a chat with my clinic again. I put a similar post myself recently which you can search for and see that a few other ladies have experienced odd cycles after unsuccessful IVF treatments
