Period Wait between egg retrieval and FET

Hi. Hope ur all well and feeling positive about life atm😊

Would just like some advice from your personal experience. Had my egg collection done 6/10/20 and ‘withdrawal bleed’ 5days later for 7 days ( which is my usual period amount of days).

In ur experience when was ur first official period after the withdrawal bleed. As iv been told can range anywhere from 2-9odd weeks. My periods are usually regular at 31day cycle so i would expect them to come around the 11/11/20. Hoping to start FET then and i like to plan mentally so I know what to expect x

Hi FM91,

I'm getting ready to start my FET cycle on my next period.

My withdrawal bleed was similar to yours, it came 5 days after my egg collection and lasted about 6 days. Then my 'normal' period started 35 days after my withdrawal bleed began which was average for my cycles.

I also like to mentally prepare ahead as much as possible.

Aww. Im glad it came on time for u then. Cz even a few days ‘late’ feels like weeks sometimes as patience wears thin at a time like this. Good luck with it xx

It really does! But you will get there. I had to do a freeze all due to risk of OHSS, was massively gutting at the time but I now realise that it was best that my body had time to get back to normal. X

I FM. As your withdrawal bleed was pretty normal for you, I would imagine that you will be on track for your period to be on time as usual. Hope all goes well. Diane

Really hope so. Oredy counting down the days. As i was first expecting transfer straight after retrieval was pretty gutted to find out i had to wait due to risk of ohss. I now feel its maybe best for me as i can start getting my body ready for transfer x

Hi,

I had my egg collection on 02/09/20 and also had to freeze all due to risk of OHSS. I had a withdrawal bleed 5 days later. My periods are normally every 30 days but my period didn’t arrive until 36 days after that so I think it took my body a little bit longer to get back to normal. Wishing you lots of luck! x

Thanks for letting me know. Atleast if i know its a possibility of it coming late im mentally prepared. Have u started ur FET cycle? X

I’m due to have a natural FET this month but due to Covid the hospital can only see a limited number patients so I’m waiting for call back to see if they can fit me in. It’s so hard waiting! x

Really hope they manage to fit you in this month. Waiting becomes so much harder as we’ve oredy waited so long to even get to this stage.
