Do progesterone pressaries need to be inserted at the same time everyday or anytime as long as it’s 12 hours apart ?

Thanks :)

Hi july188.My clinic told me you can be flexible as you have to fit it into your life. As long as you leave at least 8 hours between inserting them.

I usually do mine 9.00pm and 7.30am in the week and 10.30pm and 9.30am at the weekend. I am currently 8 weeks pregnant x x

I used to do mine at a similar time each day, but when we could start going out again I did them slightly earlier or later to fit in around me.

I don’t worry, get them done as near as dam it. I use them rectally as well so I can continue with whatever I’m doing with no issues

Hi. Yes, they need to be inserted regularly to provide continued medication. The drug is absorbed quite quickly, then your body takes over regulating it. Hope all goes well. Diane
