I hope you're well. We did a super ovulation cycle with letrozole, trigger shot and natural timed intercourse this month, just as a break in between FETs, and I am wondering how long the trigger shot will stay in my system and show a false positive?
I took the trigger shot on Friday 19th August at 8pm so waiting to do a FRER but I don't want to get a false pos and unsure when to test? We had timed intercourse on 19th , 20th and 21st August so should be any day now ok to test?
Thanks

I would say between 12 to 14 days from trigger shot, that was my case. I was also on letrozole for 6 months but didn't work for me and they haven't recommended me trigger shot 🤔🙄. Finger crossed it will work for you 🥰😘
Thanks Ranchu. So today is day 12 and I just did a FRER and it shows a faint line but must be the trigger then, so I'll check again on on Friday being day 14.
How did you find the letrozole, any side effects? This was our first try on l/zole in between FETs. So my clinic did say you don't need to take a trigger but instead could use cb opk tests but I opted for the trigger just to ensure all follicles ovulated, as they said I had 3 follicles at the scan.
Did you do timed intercourse on a cb static face then? Was your success via an FET or naturally (huge congrats btw!)?
I didn't like to be on letrozole at all and had side effects to the point that I called the ambulance at home, it was the last month of trying so I stopped anyway. I went for few scans at the clinic as they were not relying on opk tests on our first month try. The following months i refused to go for a scan and I used tests at home, I remember that I used the strips cheap ones and hell was so difficult cu predict as all looked the same 😂. On natural cycles I had no problems at all. I just couldn't afford to have so many scans while I was at work and I had commute for almost one hour to the hospital (one way).
We been successful on our 2nd FET with pgs tested embryos and steroids.
I cannot remember all of them now as it was few good years back but I when I called the ambulance I had a very bad internal, tummy pain that I couldn't walk, sweaty nights, hot flushes...I was on low dose of steroids 10mg and immunosuppressants, blood thinner, baby aspirin, antibiotics before transfer for 2 weeks.
Apparently it halves every day, so if it was 5000 then you would expect it to be out of your system by about day 10.But of course it depends on the trigger and dosage. Xx
