This is my first time writing. I love this forum for the support and knowledge it provides to us on this IVF journey.
I will soon begin my forth cycle of ivf. My first was a short flare with 225 IU of menopur. The cycle was cancelled as the follicles grew at different rates and there was quite a variance.
Our second cycle we increased the menopur to 267IU of menopur. All looked good with 9 follicles of the same size but I ovulated two days before EPU.
Third cycle we used a different drug to stop ovulation and upped the menopur to 300 IU
We got 2 blasts - both BFN 🙁
Our specialist has agreed to bulk bill this cycle( we are in Australia) but he drugs will change for the cycle as it’s part of the bulk bill rules
We will take 150IU of Gonal F and 100 IU of menopur .
Anyone else had good results with these ??
Thank u 🙏

Hey - I am an Aussie living in London. My two rounds of IVF I took 375 gonal F from day 2 and added in 75 menopur and fyremadel (suppressent from day 6). The doctors put me on max stims. My drugs cost me about £2000 for my second private round but I have low AMH and very low AFC which means I am never going to get many eggs. I got 4 from the first round (2 blasts) and second round straight after was much worse with only 2 eggs retrieved, 1 of which fertilised normally. They weren't sure it would make it to blast so they put it back in on day 3. Somehow it worked and I am 14 weeks pregnant. So this drug combo has worked for me. Good luck xx
Congratulations 💕 my AMH is good at 13. I’m 41 and doing this as I met my partner only a year ago. He had a vasectomy at 25 (now 47) so we went down this path. I’m glad we did due to my age.I’m going to be on a much lower dose of gonal f than you were so I hope it works.
That's a great AMH for your age. Hopefully this new protocol works well for you and you get some decent blasts. I think there's thought that lower stims is better for the quality of eggs so it is really positive you don't need to be pumped full of drugs like me! ha x
