ovulation before egg collection

Hi, I am just home after egg collection. I have DOR so they did a scan pre op as i only had 2 follicles. 1 had ovulated already and they weren’t able to get an egg from the other one. They did then do IUI after but i’m not holding out much hope for that.

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if you continued with more cycles? i’m not sure whether to give up now or try again.

Hi. Yes it happened to me. I ovulated before EPU so they cancelled the cycle and changed the medication for the next cycle and I was fine for that one. Best of luck 🙏

Hey 🙂 no problem. The first two cycles I used menopur for follicle stimulation and orgalutran to hold off ovulation. Didn’t work so they changed me to Syneral nasal spray to shut down my own hormones and used menopur again for stimulation.
