Only two eggs mature

Out of the six eggs collected only two are mature so only they will only try to fertilise those two. I am so disappointed I was hoping to have an extra one to freeze at least so I wouldn’t have to go through the long hormone protocol again.

Now praying that the 2 will fertilise 🙏 I am so gutted and sad - what a disappointing outcome after all the hard work and tears!!

Aww so sorry to hear you're feeling disappointed. It's not easy especially when we hope and expect more. But remember these 2 embies have every chance of becoming your baby.

I 'only' had three mature from 5 taken. They all went on to blast. It only takes one. Quality over quantity in the ivf game x

Hiya exactly the same has just happened to me 12 days ago. 6 eggs and only 2 made it when they rang me. It really upset me as again like u i wanted some to freeze! The two went on to five days but one was nearly a blasto the other was behind it. But they have put two in last saturday. Im a nervous wreck. This is my 2nd ivf cycle. Im praying it works xxxx good luck.

Thank u. Fingers crossed for us both. I was upset when i got to the transfer and told me they werent blastocyst. They did tell me im still in with just as much chance as they still growing they havent stopped. So hopefully. I did ring the hospital after 3 days as i was really upset worrying and anxious at that point they were fine and on track. So hopefully. Im just so anxious though and its a constant worry. I really know what ur feeling xxxxxxxx fingers crossed. Let me know how they get on xxxxxxx

Keeping my fingers crossed. We had 6 collected too, only 3 fertilised but only 1 matured. That 1 however is currently 28 weeks and we are due on January 1st. You only need 1. Stay positive, stay relaxed (I know it’s hard but it’s the best thing) and do exactly as your clinic tells you. They know best. Good luck xxx

I had 6 follicles originally, then 1 collected , only 1 fertilised and only 1 mature when I was 39. And now she is 2 years old. I'm going to do another IVF soon and I'm 42 now. I hope it'll be lucky again

Thanks for this. My stim drugs have left me with only one follicle responding. Age 41 and feeling utterly ‘what’s the point?’ Got to go through so many more hoops. Good to know there’s some hope.
