So.... a nice senior embryologist phoned to say that after leaving it an extra hour, too much of the embryo had broken down. She said more that 50% had gone....Closer to 80% and it wouldn’t be fair to put me through transfer .

The whole thing is not fair

I wish the next cycle started tomo but with my nhs turn 21 months away and funds for another couple of rounds not quite in place .... my head is pickled and I think my heart just fell out. Wine and gin and pizza required 💐

Rhinocat, I’m so, so sorry. This happened to us with our only genetic embryo to pass PGS. I think it was the worst thing we ever went through in our seven different attempts. That was the worst phonecall of all of them. I know your heart is breaking right now and I’ll be thinking of you. xxx
