Thank you so much. Was your GP happy enough to sign you off? I have my EC next week, and also wondering when I should reach out to my GP about signing me off? I'm thinking maybe once I have a date for transfer then I will call my GP.
I have had one doctor who wrote awaiting test results, one who wrote medical investigations and one who literally wrote IVF treatment. When I sent my request it was online & they ask what you want them to put if it’s something specific you want them to write x
Hi I got one from gp they wrote stress and undergoing ivf, she was brilliant with me and signed me off straight away. I got signed off just before egg collection xxxx
My GP always asks me what I want him to write and how long do you want. It depends if your work know about it, mine do so I had ivf and stress put on mine but I think gynae procedure or investigations are good ones too. My GP has always been supportive with signing me off, even though I get myself in a stress about asking 😜🙈!
Thank you so much ❤️, I'm happy to hear your GP has always been supportive. I'm stressed about asking my GP for time off 🙈 My work do know about my IVF so I don't really mind, however I do worry about what they will think if I get signed off. Particularly because another woman in my work did IVF last year and worked through her TWW. But I think I just need to stop worrying what other people will think of me and just focus on myself x
Absolutely everyone handles this differently. It’s hard to shake off worrying what other people think, I am one of life’s worriers! To be honest I’ve tried it all working some of it, all of it and none of it 😆 just depending how I’m feeling at the time. You do what is right for you that’s all you can do xxx
No he just gave me the 2 weeks so I went back just before my OTD. That ended in a positive that time. I think by the time I went back I was either going to be pregnant or not, if you know what I mean, I had the chilled time around implantation which was the most important bit
