Scanty periods after miscarriage

I miscarried at 8 weeks. I was given drugs to take it out and since then I’ve had scanty and watery period. I also did another hysteroscopy as the doctors suspected an obstruction but after the surgery I’m still having scanty and light colored blood. It’s also been difficult to take it. First pregnancy was immediately after the first hysteroscopy. Anyone experienced this?

Sorry for your loss. When was your MC and hysteroscopy? it is common to bleed on and off for some time after both of those things. Have you had a negative test yet?

Miscarriage was last year August but did a second hysteroscopy last month. Yes been negative

Hi Kimshaven. So sorry to hear about your miscarriage and I do hope you've got plenty of support. It can take upto 3 months for your cycle to return to what is normal for you, espeically after having procedures done too. Hope all soon settles down for you. Diane

So sorry about your miscarriage. After mine, I had 4 periods two weeks apart before it returned to normal and it was heavy bleeds so I got very tired with it. I called my GP who explained that after a miscarriage our cycles get messed up for a while and that the body just readjusts on its own once it’s recovered fully from it.
