Transfer nr 4 = BFN πŸ’”

β€’39 Replies

Hi all

Havent been very active here lately. But just wanted to update some who i follow.

Sooo.. so far had two icsi rounds each producing 8 eggs and 2 blasts. Had two fresh and two fets.

2 chemicals, 1 mmc and now a bfn.

Only thing i did different was a long protocol fet.

Its bloody hard to regroup this time.. I need to start looking for a new clinic. Here in Manchester i really am left with two clinics care and create.

Many congratulations to everyone who had their BFPs! It does give hope. ❀️❀️

Ah love - so sorry to hear that. It absolutely sucks.I don't have any experience of either clinic but it sounds like a good plan to move on - there's still a few tests left - would you consider PGS testing? I've seen a lot of BFPs on here recently (probably) due to PGS... sending lots of love xx

in reply to Millbanks

Thanks lovely. Both times we hd one blast and the second blst was always frozen last minute so number wise i never dream of pgs testing. Def something to consider. Hope you are ok xx

Yes it's tricky to know exactly what to do. The fact that you are getting pregnant is hopeful though - have you had your immunology tested? xx

in reply to Millbanks

Thanks love. This is why im frustrated with my current clinic. I have autoimmune thyroid. I did my nk cells but biopsy didnt survive so might redo that one. I wanted immune protocol but clinic said no (covid time no steroids etc etc). That ideally is my next protocol x x u considered it??

Ah yes of course - I remember now (sorry my memory is rubbish). So my mum has an autoimmune disease and they say that if something is in the family then it could be likely that you have raised NK cells - so I didn't have the biopsy but I am going to have the blood test done. My clinic said that by the time we transfer next (likely June) it should be ok to use steroids - I'm very keen to give it a go. xx

Gutted to hear this, always cheerleading you from the sidelines.

I have been to a different Care and always really rated them but they were never keen to do additional tests/try new things.. could just be because I am so old and they have given up on me! It may be different with each clinic though. Really hope you find some answers and your rainbow baby xx

in reply to

Aww thanks. Its hard to get answers. That is one reason im looking to switch as my current clinic doesnt offer anything different. I practically begged for blood thinners and progesterone shots and didnt get it. Hope we both find our next step and our baby. Hang in there u kind soul. Xx

Definitely give it every shot you can. We got told from the start DE was our best chance, but we spent 3 years and god knows how much trying everything first. Xxx

Ahhh really sorry to hear that. It is bloody hard to regroup. Are you just not happy with the care that you’ve been getting? If so, definitely right to rethink and look for a new clinic. Hopefully people in Manchester can give you some advice. Xx

in reply to hifer

Thanks hifer. Hope your doing great. Yeah its the lack of trying a different protocol xx

I'm just catching up Mimisami as you know I've been 'away' for a while. Would you consider going abroad? You know my story. I've come to realise that my clinic are very good, their after care has been great too. The only part of my IVF I had in the uk was the ALICE and EMMA. Which Im sure played a part in success.
