100% never give up, even this cycle I was advised to stop everything & to look into donor eggs as hospital gave me less than 10% chance. The only thing I did different this cycle was raspberry leaf tea & took progesterone pessaries as soon as I knew my lining had shrunk... & tried manifesting positive thoughts.... even when it feels like it’s against you miracles can happen💕 xx
I’ve totally been there especially last month when I was told to give up. I just hope mine journey can give you that extra hope to believe it can happen for us low amh’s. If you need any advice on supplements I was taking a few for low amh.... x
Hello firstly massive congratulations, exciting times ahead for you and lovely to hear there is hope. Sorry to jump on the back of this but I have a low AMH I'm 33 and last test was 6.4. Been tested privately twice and no one has ever suggested any supplements, do you mind me asking what you suggest.
Hi sorry for jumping on but your message stood out as i was advised on supplemens that have massively helped my low AMH levels . 75g of DHEA & 600g CoQ10 Ubiquinol Daily along with Pre-Conception tablets . Also cut out Caffein completely . I did all of this and ate very healthy for 3/4 months xxx
Lovely thank you for the reply. I have been told about DHEA by someone on this site but when I looked it up its says its not licenced in the UK so I'm a little dubious about taking without being advised to my a medical expect. I also worry that if and when I got for treatment they might say I shouldn't have taken it. I have got some CoQ10 just started recently but may up the dosage. Very little caffeine, probs as little a can of diet coke a week. Diet is healthy I eat the right foods etc bar some chocolate. Thank you I appreciate you taking the time.
Thank you, I’m 32 . I got a lot of supplements after reading luisa zissman - maybe baby she went to a top specialist & recommended lots of vitamins, I literally brought everything she was recommended. I did ivf 3 years ago at 29 & never got my amh tested until after due to responding poorly- annoyingly I wasent offered the amh test prior to ivf.....since I didn’t respond well I wanted to try ovulation induction as this would mean only taking medication for 3 days at the start of my cycle to give my ovaries a little push (as I already ovulate naturally) this helped produce 2 folicules roughly a month but the folicule tracking helped to confirm ovulation & that my lining was thin... so on top of low amh I found out through folicule tracking I was having a thin lining too which would effect my egg sticking....I then took progesterone to help thicken it once I knew my lining was thinning & raspberry leaf tea again to help - my own thinking I wasent told to & it worked 😊 x
Hello lovely thanks for the advice. I shall definitely read that page I had a quick look yday but shall have a good read of it. I hadn't even thought about a thin lining, ill look into that to. Its nice to find out what people actually have experienced as the Internet can be such a blur sometimes. You never know what to believe or not and you would end up living on vitamins.
Agree 100%, low AMH only indicates that we won't make tons of eggs under IVF meds. It doesn't mean we can't get pregnant. Had my first daughter with AMH of 0.52. I'm down to 0.16 now and I'm 12 weeks pregnant with 2nd baby.
Congratulations on ur pregnancy, this is good new for us all. My doctor told me this year that my is 0.15 AMH but I am still very hopeful I pray and hope that I will be able to get pregnant again a have my baby
Thank you. Hang in there and keep trying. I'll be 42 soon so the age factor makes it difficult but not impossible. It took me year and a 1/2 of trying. When trying naturally or with IUI low AMH is not an issue since you will get that one egg a month no matter what. Just need some luck to catch a good one. Also, I never took any supplements outside of prenatal vitamins. I didn't change my diet or ran for acupuncture. I drank coffee every day and basically went about my life as I normally would. I researched anything and everything about helping my low egg reserve get better but apart from anecdotal evidence, I didn't find any peer reviewed studies confirming that supplements are actually effective. As for the diet, I try to eat fairly healthy but I do get a take out here and there. I don't eat fast food or processed foods but anything else is fair game. Good luck!
Thank you for the info. I will be 42 in June and have severe adenomyosis which makes it very difficult to get pregnant but thank God I already have a daughter who is 2 years old via IVF I just pray and hope I get lucky again to be able to give her a sibling. Best wishes to you
This really gives me hope. I recently had an egg collection but am freezing embryos as my lining decreased to 4.5mm. So going to try a natural fet to see if that can help. Congratulations!!! X
Thank you soooo much, I hope my journey helps people see it’s not about the strict numbers as miracles can happen. I’m convinced progesterone helped my lining & raspberry leaf tea x
My Amh was 3.4 at 39 after that test I had 2 chemicals and this pregnancy I’m 30w (natural) dr said with ivf I’d need a donor.
Amazing news I just hope all these results helps others like it’s helped me along the way... it’s amazing to hear so many low amh stories as it really does feel like the end of the world when you get this result x
For sure I was devastated finding out I had a low reserve with no treatment offered I felt we were at the end of the road then a miracle happened which we are so grateful.
Congratulations! I bet this was such an amazing day for you 💗💙 I have low AMH and just going through my first round - it’s been a tough week with my numbers so I really appreciate this positive story right now 😊 xx
