Short protocol stims scan multiple follicles

Hi, so a few weeks ago my clinic switched my protocol from long to short and decided I should start immediately (instead of the long break they initially said I needed after early MC).

I went for a 7 day stims scan today and I have 35 egg follicles growing!! I’m shocked...the point of the short protocol switch was to stop immediately overstimulating like last time so I was expecting less.

I’ve previously only done frozen cycles and was desperate for a fresh transfer but I’ve been told that’s unlikely now as they freeze all on anything over 20 eggs. Obviously I’m not complaining about a good response and number, but a bit anxious it might be too much? Anyone had follicle numbers like this and it gone smoothly? I’m worried about feeling ill after and not enough mature eggs.

Hi Mary I feel my experience may be quite similar to you, I’m on short protocol and on day 7 of injections. My scan beforehand showed I had 29 follicles so they said I am high risk of overhyper stimulation. I have a scan tomorrow so il let you know how I get on. I’m feeling anxious about this too. Sorry Iv not got much advice 🙈 just thought our situation could be quite similar. Hope everything goes well for you xxxx

Yes very similar! Let me know how you get on. Did they say freeze all to you too? My last scan is tomorrow xx

Hi Mary, just wondered how you were getting on? I ended up with 14 eggs collected and 8 have fertilised, implantation on Friday if all goes well 🤞🤞 hope everything’s good for you xxxx

Hi liv! Glad everything went well for you and good luck for Friday 😀. I got 16 eggs and 13 fertilised so I was very happy with that. Unfortunately it’s a freeze all for me, they said they were concerned about my follicle numbers so didn’t want to transfer just yet. It’s a shame though as I feel fine. Two days later I wouldn’t even know if just had a collection xx

Aww that’s amazing 😬😍 what a good number! When will they do a transfer? Do you have to wait long? Hope it goes as quickly as possible for you xxxx
