Does anyone know the limit in terms of how long you can go in your monthly cycle before you have baseline scan and start stimming?
We are off on holiday and I am worried AF will come early (due the day we get back). I’m not going to miss holiday as it’s REALLY needed but does anyone know what cycle day is too late to start stims? So if AF arrived day before we got back or even two days before could we still start on cd3 for example or are we too late and then having to delay things?
I know I know I am on cycle 4 so I should know! I’ve put my life on hold the last three cycles so this time there needs to be a bit of give and take! 😂 xx
With my first round I had a cyst and they were unsure if they will let me start or no. I started stims on day 3. I know this is no help but just check with them if they will allow you to have the baseline on day 2 or 3. Are you on norethisterone? If you are maybe you can have it for few more days xxxx
Enjoy your much needed holiday Its well deserved 🥰🥰🥰🥰xxxx
I didn’t have a baseline scan for short protocol. I just started the injections. Could you maybe talk to your clinic and see if it’s needed? Enjoy your holiday, hope your off somewhere nice 😊 x
My clinic does baseline scan on days 3-5. I’ve always had my scans on day 5.
Thanks so much girls - sounds like I’ve got a few days to play with! Phew!! Bring on the sunshine ☀️
Your clinic should tell you. Depending on your amh it might yield better results if you start on day 2.
Thanks again! My clinic says call in on day one of 'red blood' and I should go in for a scan the following day and start that evening. Thats always been the message.. I was trying to understand if there was any flex on this by a day or so as I really don't know when AF will turn up and if it will be on holiday which will be when I need to write off next month or not! xx
Yes my clinic says that too but dependent what time of day you start bleeding and whether it’s the weekend (clinic closed Sunday), you can easily end up starting day 3. Fairly sure that isn’t a problem - as I said before if I remember correctly both my fresh cycles were like that and also my FETs surely were like that.
