Covid vaccine before IVF treatment

Hi all,

I’m waiting for a FET - hoping it will be in the next 6 weeks but just been told I can have the covid vaccine and not sure what to do - any advice appreciated!

Hello there ! Good luck on ur transfer ... i think you should ask you RE mine advised me if i take the vaccine i should wait at least 3 months before i do ivf . But some doctors say it is okay because my pregnant friend took it so I think it’s up to your doctor’s recommendations

Hi, definitely speak to your clinic. Mine were fine with whatever decision I made and it didn’t stop treatment so I decided to have it as I wanted some level of protection. It seems clinics have different advice on this xx good luck with your decision and treatment xxx

I would speak to your IVF doctor. Mine strongly recommended I have the jab which I was offered directly after a failed cycle which seemed pretty convenient to me. I had read that you should wait 12 weeks but I figured that was just so you could ensure you got both doses and didn't miss out on your second dose because you were pregnant. I decided I would rather have one dose and miss out on the second dose if I find I'm pregnant as at least I will then have some protection. Your doctor may have have different view based on your circumstances etc so I would speak to him or her.

Talk to your doctor, but if you haven’t started treatment yet I’d probably take it, that way you don’t have to worry about having it while pregnant - I’d have taken it if offered x
