I wanted to know whether it is safe to get the covid vaccine for women setting IVF treatment ? I don’t see any information regarding this anywhere all it says is that pregnant women should wait till they have their baby.
It would be good to know as I am going to start a fresh cycle next month and my workplace are encourage us to get the vaccine.
Any advice would be helpful
Thanks

They will be offering the vaccine to high risk pregnant people and healthcare workers. They also say towards the bottom of the guidance in regards to people trying to get pregnant don't need to wait to try to conceive.
I spoke to my fertility clinic and they advise to avoid getting the vaccine around key stages of treatment i.e egg collection and embryo transfer.
I went ahead and got my vaccine at the start of this week. I am due to have a prep month with my January period and than stims in Feb. It will be a freeze all cycle (high AMH and poss PGS testing). I decided to go ahead with the vaccine as I work in PICU so increased risk.
Hi Simz....today i had an appointment eith the nurse st my fertility clinic,i asked the same question about the Covid 19 vaccine whether it would be safe to have it as my potential FET is next month? She said its absolutely safe they confirmed it this week. But she said for already pregnant women the tests haven't been done yet.
However i've made a personal decision not to have a vaccine until and hopefully my treatment will be successful.I am having a natural FET so want to give it my all.
Hope this helps....sorry for an essay.Best wishes on your fertility journey xx
I was offered the vaccine at work yesterday (work in a hospital and asthmatic) but the Trust advised not to have the vaccine if I'm planning on pregnancy within next 2 months, so I opted out. I since found guidance from Royal College of Obstetricians and its contradicting the trusts guidance. I'm up in the air now.. I'm asthmatic so will be offered it at some point by gp, so might just take it up then x
That has happened to me, my trust are encouraging us to have it but they say I can't if there is a potential I could fall pregnant in the next 3 months avoid it. Because I am unexplained I could fall pregnant naturally. I have an appointment with my consultant next week so I will ask. I have already had covid so I have some ammunity at the moment.
Thanks so much for asking this question, I’m also really interested in the replies. I’m at the end of my treatment journey now but am worried about having the vaccine through work just in case there’s a tiny chance I might fall pregnant naturally. Hope all goes well with your cycle next month xx
I’m so confused about the vaccine, I’m a community nurse so been told I should be having it but hopefully having our next FET in the next 2 months and I don’t know if it will have any affect!😬x
I read that we shouldn't have the vaccine if we're planning to get pregnant in the next 3 months. I'll try and find the info through searching a lot. For those in treatment/ trying to get pregnant now, they should not have the vaccine. Those who have not yet started treatment can have the vaccine but they must delay trying to get pregnant for 3 months. Some of the guidelines I have read on the sites of some institutions of medicine where they will be offering the vaccine to high risk pregnant people and healthcare workers. They also say towards the bottom of the guidance in regards to people trying to get pregnant don't need to try to wait to conceive. I spoke to my fertility clinic and they advise to avoid getting the vaccine around key stages of treatment i.e. egg collection and embryo transfer. I went ahead and got my vaccine at the start of this week. I am due to have a prep month with my January period and then stims in Feb. It will freeze all cycles (high AMH and poss PGS testing).
