Back 2 Back IVF?

Has anyone done back to back fresh IVF cycles? My second round ended the day after egg collection when only 2 out of 6 eggs fertilised but abnormally so there was nothing to transfer. At the follow up with our consultant we were told we could start round 3 after the withdrawal bleed from round 2. Has anyone else done this? I feel ready to crack on with it but have read that fresh cycles shouldn’t be done back to back, but it’s not clear whether this includes where transfer didn’t take place 🤷🏻‍♀️ X

Sorry to hear about your last cycle. I think it’s personal really if you feel ready mentally and physically then go for it. When our fresh cycle didn’t work and was a BFN I was advised at our follow up to wait to have two periods and then go for it again. I felt ready after 3 months personally and did my FET which resulted in BFP but ended in a chemical. Do what your body and mind tell you. Good luck.

I'm in a similar situation, first round failed with no fertilised eggs. Mentally I'm ready to do back to back rounds as time is not on my side but have been advised by the embryologist to wait at least two bleeds so your body can regulate itself. I'd rather give my body the best change so will wait.

Yes I did back to back as part of my 3 cycle package

Yes I did this and actually got pregnant on the second one - I often look back and wonder if its because maybe some of the drugs were still in my system... it was the best quality eggs I ever had collected out of all my 6 rounds x

Hi Daisy, also interested in back to back cycles. How is the logistic? Did you do an egg collection, bled, and then started immediately with a new stim? Or did you wait for a period in between?
