Back Again - Ivf number 3!

Hey everyone,

I was previously on this forum in 2017 having had 2 rounds of Ivf. We were extremely lucky that our 2nd round was a success & our little miracle daughter has just turned 2!

We had 1 frozen embryo so we have now started the process for frozen embryo transfer. Our consultant appt was last night & he thinks should be able to do our transfer next month.

Any tips for frozen transfer greatly appreciated as I’ve only ever had fresh ones.

Xx

I am in the same boat as you! 2 year old daughter and just waiting on my period coming so we can phone the clinic. Wonder what it will be like this time? The nurse said people aren't usually as stressed when trying for no2 but I think it's not just the disappointment if it doesn't work, it's the cash outlay for each try! (We were NHS for our last round which thankfully has left us with 2 frosties).

Yeah the cash outlay is always stressful ha ha we had to pay for our round that worked as our nhs round failed and left no Frosties 😩 it’s a lot lot cheaper than a fresh round thankfully. I still feel like I’m going to be just as stressed cause people now say things like oh it’s worked before it will work again so it’s not very helpful. I’m keeping toes, fingers everything crossed for us 🤞 x

I said my success was helped along by the angels of my friend and uncle who I lost in 2016 in the months before the successful cycle.

I lost my Dad in October so hoping that with his help, I can smash this one too! ❤

We were actually gifted some money to specifically use for treatment so we only had to pay £400 of our own money this time so we are very lucky in that respect.

Fingers and toes crossed for us xx 🤞

Hi there

I am in the same situation. We have 22 month old twins from our third fresh round of IVF. We started the process of a Natural FET in September with one of our frozen embryos (we had two) and I’m now nearly 20 weeks pregnant with our third baby. I can’t believe how lucky we have got.

I’m not sure if you’re planning to do a medicated or Natural FET but all I can say is it’s so much easier, quicker and straightforward than a full cycle. I stopped drinking alcohol as soon as my period came and just tried to be more healthy. Obviously it was much harder this time around running around after two toddlers but the actual FET process was much kinder. Good luck. Xx
