My embryo transfer had to stop as my cervix was closed and booked in for hysteroscopy next week. Once that’s done I have to wait for my period. I’m guessing I will start progesterone again but what is the process and how long is the wait until transfer usually?

Hi lovely, So it depends on your clinic and which protocol they use. If it's short protocol, they might start you on Fyremadel injections (on day 1 of your period) to shut off your ovaries (usually 7 days) in conjunction with oestrogen tablets to thicken the lining. Then you'll have a day 10 scan and if the lining is ready they'll start you on progesterone to transfer 5 days later. If it's a long protocol they might want you to start on Buserelin on day 21, then when you bleed they'll start you on oestrogen. Some clinics won't use Fyremadel in an FET so it might be that you just start oestrogen on day 1, then same as above.Does that help? Sorry if it's a bit confusing - all clinics are different! x
