Day 9 Stims, only 1 follicle

Hi there!

Just hoping for any promising feedback.. I am having my first cycle. I’m 39, low AMH, on Day 9 of Menopur - dose was 225 until day 6, then was increased to 300. Scan today showed only 1 decent follicle and many small ones.

I know it’s only my first cycle, but I gather this is a really bad sign for what’s to come.

I’m worried this is the end of the line and I’ve only just started 😣

Does anyone know if there’s other drugs that can help with stimulation for my next cycle?

Hi I am 39 currently on day 7 of Embryo Transfer, test date on Friday 🤞🏽 . This is my 2nd round of iVf . My first round was cancelled as I had empty follicle syndrome at egg retrieval 😔 ( even tho I had 4 good size follicles the night before ) This time round I had 7 eggs ( 6 fertilized & I had 2 good enough for transfer ) I did coq10 for 6 months & Dhea 75mg for 4 months prior to treatment . Changed my diet massively & I definitely think this has helped with egg quality . I know it’s hard but all it takes is 1 don’t loose hope xxx

Can I ask, have you been on coq10 and dhea since before your first round- or did you have a 4-6 month break between cycle 1&2?

Any dietary tips that you think helped?

And that’s so am awesome, cycle 2 must have given you a big lift! Amazing how thing can differ from one cycle to the next!

It varies a lot from cycle to cycle even if you change nothing in your diet or lifestyle. So you might get many eggs next time. Ask the size of your small follicles, because small foes not mean there cannot be a mature egg inside

It’s so good to know that cycles do vary!!

I guess there’s always that worry that your basket is empty.. so knowing that a near empty basket this time, doesn’t mean it will be next time, is comforting! Best wishes to you 💜😊xx
