I had my ivf frozen transfer on Thursday, I put my cyclogest pessire in after I had been to the loo this morning.

I don’t know how I have managed this but it has went in the whole I pee out off, I have called my clinic but no response yet does anyone know if this will do harm or if I should take again correctly?

I can’t believe this was even possible!

Are you absolutely sure?! I don’t know how this would be possible? As your pee hole is teeny tiny! Xx

My husband said the same thing it definitely didn’t feel like the normal hole, it felt the same size as the tip of my pinky.

It slipped straight in before I realised what has happened. I’m wondering if it’s because I was standing and in a different position?

How have you usually been inserting them (vaginally/ rectally?) as I can’t see it is possible for you to put a pessary into your urethra

Vaginally

Hi Cloud,

Cyclogest are rather large and speaking as someone who regularly catheterises women I really don’t see how it would be possible to get the pessary into your urethra... for one thing it would be extremely uncomfortable with a lot of resistance to even try. It takes quite a bit of effort with the purpose designed catheter and a big torch and practice with the angle etc. I remember getting quite swollen and irritated with cyclogest and some days it was difficult to get it up in the right place. My guess is that it is probably in your vagina but maybe in a curve or a bit where there is some extra skin or tissue or something that maybe feels different? Especially if you were in a different position to normal when you inserted it. It will likely have dissolved by now so try not to worry but definitely speak to your clinic or GP about any concerns you have about this as it does sound a little unusual x
