Advice transfert FET date seems sketchy

Hi everyone I am scheduled to start my third FET transfer. I got my first day of period the 18th of February. My doctor is away the week of the 9th of March. So he wants to do a transfer on the 15th of March. I think it is very latish if I calculate i would be in the end of my cycle. His secretary said it didn't matter as I do not ovulate with the medication. She said I could always pass and try the next cycle . Has anyone had a similar experience ? I am very worried it would be a transfer for nothing.

Hi, I had my period on the 23rd January and my FET on 12th Feb, so day 21 of my cycle, so a few days different to yours would be. Are you having a medicated cycle?

Mine was natural, so my day of ovulation was tracked, with OPKs and a scan a few days before FET, so if yours is medicated maybe they can pre plan your date maybe?

Good luck x

Hi thank you so much for answering, i am on a medicated cycle. It's just that for my last FET they seemed to aim for what would have been 5 days after my ovulation if that makes sense...

My medicated FET was pushed back a week due to a delay with my bloods, and it made no difference as I stayed on the oestrogen tablets a few days long and just started progesterone later. I think you will be ok 👍 xxx

Ah no problem, obviously I’d always check with your clinic again but my initial reactions was like 🤦🏽‍♀️ surely postponing isn’t going to work, but when they explained it (it was all drug controlled so not my own cycle) it made sense!

Ah my FET did go well thanks, just in the dreaded two week wait and already starting to doubt and turn into a mini psycho 🤣

Good luck with your next go! Xx

HiYellowbellow. Usually some medication is given to prevent ovulation. They’re more interested in building up your lining. Trust your specialist and hope all turns out well for you. Diane
