I'm out today

Hello ladies!

Last night I just noted minimal brown/pink discharge on my progesterone pessary. This morning was also just on pessary. But today evening, I think I started on my periods. Its bright red in color on the tissue with lower abdo cramps too. Do I still need to continue with progesterone or I should stop? And I don't think now I need to go for blood test on OTD which is due on 10th Feb, its today 7th Feb only. So, I think I'm out today & unfortunately we don't even have any Frozen embryos too so might have to start the cycle all over again. Any suggestions on pessaries & OTD would be really appreciated.. ๐Ÿ™

I'm sorry to hear this, but I would stay on the pessires at least until you get in touch with your clinic and they will more than likely tell you stay on it until OTD. Women have had bleeding and few cramps and still went on to get their bfp. X

Thank you for your reply & support. I have emailed the clinic & waiting for their reply. Those must be the special cases from nature who got bleeding & cramps & were still BFP. In my case today, it feels like Its all over for this time. Thanks for the reassurance โคโค I hope all those get BFP who were in the same boat as mine untill now..

Hi there, my clinic strictly says to continue medication till OTD even if we think a period has started. Bleeding in early pregnancy is more common than we think and women have gone on to get a BFP even after some bleeding. Would be a shame to stop the progesterone and end what could potentially be a healthy pregnancy otherwise. Wishing you the best and hoping for good news. Xx

Thank you Pu217! I'll not stop it untill the clinic advises to stop it. Will update everyone here if it turns out to be a BFP which will be an unbelievable miracle only ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hi Saror, as everyone has advised please don't stop meds. You're still a few days away from OTD and women bleed all the time when pregnant. My sister had an assumed period and now has a healthy happy 2 year old. Keep holding on xxx

Thanks Masief! I will continue with the meds but frankly now its a full on period accompanied by back ache & bad cramps which I normally have when I have AF. It is now even hard to believe that it can still turn into BFP but lets see what my clinic says. I can believe in BFN this time because they said the embryo itself was borderline & we don't even have any frozen embryos. 8 eggs were collected & only 1 survived from 5 fertilised. Even last 1 was borderline. Seriously heartbreaking when you keep your hopes up & do not get the desired results ๐Ÿ˜“ I'm still young 31 but not with very good AMH reserve. My partner is 39 & not with good quality swimmers too..

I know it's so hard lovely, the most testing journey with all your heart and soul invested in making a baby. Seeing a negative and then the blood is scary and pregnancy is different for everyone. As you say, you have time on your side and your partner is young too. I have seen the BFNs a good few times, it's so heartbreaking but so many women battle on and eventually reach their goal. Give yourself time to feel everything but there is always hope, and a new lesson always learned. Sending you lots of love xxx

Hello dear, I really feel bad to hear this. I think you should stay on pessaries until you get in touch with your clinic. It is common to have some bleeding after the BFP. So, As per my advice don't panic and continue with your treatment.

Wish you all the best. Fingers crossed

That is so supportive of all of you. It feels now, there's an online family on this website.. ๐Ÿ˜Š

There definitely is. This journey sucks. Its cruel and makes no sense. Pregnancy seems to defy all logic and we are all here sharing that common goal to become parents. Keep us posted with what your clinic says. Xx

I'm in the same boat, test date of the 12th and started bleeding last night, not heavy but cramps have started this morning so I'm not holding my breath.

Comments here have been more encouraging than my own brain though ๐Ÿ™‚. Will keep on with everything and let's see.

I am fully convinced that for me it is AF. I know my AF & all other associated symptoms. This website provides a lot of emotional support. Thanks to all of you people ๐Ÿ‘I'll wait for my clinic instructions now for any changes. But for me its for sure BFN..

Hi, when this has happened to me in the past Iโ€™ve convinced myself itโ€™s a BFN. But the ladies are right, for some women, they bleed everyday in early pregnancy - my sister in law did but got her happy ending. Just stay on your medication regardless until original test date. The clinic will then advise you. Good luck.

Hopefully! But lets see whether even they ask me to get tested or not. Will keep you all updated. Its a full flow period now. Its hard to believe in any BFP for this time now for myself..

Hi Saror, so sorry youโ€™re going through this, Iโ€™m a day behind you in the same position. OTD is tomorrow, Iโ€™ve an 8am appointment in my clinic for a beta hcg test, but I started bleeding this morning, passed tissue with bright red fresh blood first thing and itโ€™s continued on like my period. Have been feeling like my period was trying to come since Thursday so think itโ€™s def that. Will continue taking the progesterone until I have the results, and advice from my clinic but feeling the exact same as you. Hoping youโ€™re doing ok today and doing whatever you need to do for yourself, this journey is the absolute worst ๐Ÿ˜•
