Would be so grateful if anyone is able to offer thoughts...am hoping to start IVF but had a hysteroscopy and scan yesterday (not started any treatment yet) and was told could barely visualise ovaries as they were so high. Consultant said we might be able to try IVF but couldn’t guarantee he’d be able to retrieve eggs due to unreachable ovaries so it’s up to me if I want to “have a go”.
Also has suggested that may start cyclical norethisterone to reduce endometrial thickness-I thought only Mirena coil had been proven to help with this...
I’m so desperate for my husband and I to have a family but every test result I’m given just pushes this dream further out of reach. I’m despairing today and am struggling to see the point of getting up each morning. Does anyone have advice on any of the above? X

Sorry I noticed that noone has replied and whilst I don’t have similar experience, I had a little Google about hyperplasia. Do you know if you only have it mildly or if it is quite recent? It does seem to say online that an injection, tablets, or coil can be fitted to treat it, and induce a bleed. I would give it a try what you’re consultant is saying.
The way I look at it, is you will never know if you don’t try with ivf. Your ovaries may drop a little once enlarged by the stimulation drugs. Your amh is low, so it’s unlikely you will produce lots of eggs, but you might produce a couple or a few which may be all that you need! Did the consultant say what your AFC was too? That is helpful alongside the amh number. But since they couldn’t see them easily I’m assuming they might now have been able to count x
Hey Taytee, with the hyperplasia it is important to understand the nature and severity of it. You should get a prognosis from your hysteroscopy results and a treatment plan from there. Usual treatment is progesterone to induce bleeds on and off then test the outcome again.
If you have hyperplasia then rounds of IVF could make it return or become worse because of the high levels of estrogen so if the ivf is unsuccessful then make sure you have a plan in-between to induce bleeds.
The good news is if you get get pregnant this naturally treats the hyperplasia!
Hi, I just went though egg collection and they could not reach my right ovary as it was to high. Apparently you can have intarabdominal egg collection where they go in though the abdomen instead of the vagina. Not all ivf clinics do it, but worth looking into. Good luck with everything xx
Hi Taytee, you need a miracle just like the rest of us... everyone on here has different issues so pls dont single yourself out. Just try everything, throw everything at it ... and if you believe in God, pray your heart out when you cant sleep or are getting down about it. Are you taking the supplements to help with improving your eggs: ubiquinol (take the solgar ones if you can afford it), dhea, rala. Eat loads of protein when on your period. Also look into seed cycling as its an easy one to do (just eat certain nuts at different sides of your cycle). Read the book “it starts with an egg”.
I havent had success yet but will keep going. Women on here are so inspirational, they motivate me to kp going. We see success after so much struggle by so many on here.
